We recently moved to the area, and I wanted to try a barber within walking distance. I went to Jackson, and he was friendly, solicitous and meticulous. I was happy with the cut and my beard sculpting. I will definitely return

Booked an appointment with Veronica and was super happy with how it turned out! I went in not knowing exactly what I wanted and walked out with the best haircut I’ve had in a long time. She also gave me affordable hair product recommendations that were better suited for fine hair like mine and cheaper than the stuff I currently use. Will be back again for sure!

Rough cut is a perfect description. I had high hopes when I moved to Portland because this place was right across the street from my apartment. But I had one of the worst haircuts I have had in over a decade. The guy even sheared off my windows peak without even saying anything. That thing growing back for over a month was embarrassing. I ended up finding a fantastic barber on the other side of the river. Sad I had to go so far just for a haircut, but worth the trip to avoid having your hair butchered and end up with a rough cut.

I've gone to Rough Cut Barber Shop a couple of times now and I have had a great experience both times! Jackson has cut my hair every time I've been here and he has done a great job cutting my hair with minimal instructions. I highly recommend this barber shop, especially for those who live in the NW neighborhood!

Don't let the name scare you. The best barbershop on 21st Street. I walked in without an appointment. I was in the chair 15 minutes later. Jackson did an outstanding job. He is very professional.

Jackson is by far the best Barber I have ever had cut my hair. He is a master at skin fades and knows how to black hair. I can't let anybody else cut my hair! Be sure to book an appointment on the website because he is in high demand.
