Showed up, sat down and was not greeted at all or asked any questions. One barber was taking calls and i figured he would get to me when he got to me, being nice i waited. He proceeded to stop his call and then went on cutting. 5 minutes later he got a calll and said "yeah, I can setup you at 4 (fifteen minutes)" and then it dawned on me. I asked him if he was going to be able to cut my hair and he said "oh no, I'm booked now" or something like that. I was in disbelief. I walked in, was waiting for acknowledgement since he heard and saw me walk in then just blatantly scheduled in front of me someone to come in when I clearly was there. They have a sign saying "walk-ins welcome". Apparently not. I won't be back.

I would do 0 stars if I could. I showed up 5 minutes late for an appointment and hour before closing and was told he would only cut my hair if I gave him $10 extra. Was very course and rude with his demeanor when answers the door.

I had a wonderful experience here. David not only was able to see me on short notice but he was incredibly thorough with wonderful attention to detail. I’ve had many barbers but now I’ve got the best in Portland, do yourself a favor and make an appointment with David.

My beard was trimmed well, but he cut my hair at .25 inch long instead of what I said to cut it at .75 inch long. Then he charged for the totally wrong hair cut and didn't apologize. Going somewhere else next time.

Austin is great, whomever else is in there took 10 mins and destroyed my hair. I've explained many barbers before how do I like my hair and this guy completely did his own weird thing.

Austin gave me a great hair cut and he was a true professional. The hair cuts are $40. A Beard trim is $15. Remember to bring Cash, they also use Venmo.

I’m so glad I stumbled across Bart’s, and it’s in my neighborhood which is a bonus. I recently lost my barber and was looking for a new one. Austin took care of me and gave me the best cut I’ve had in years (no offense to my former barber). The shop is cool and clean, and the peeps are good. High recommend!

Wow! I brought my client in to get a beard and mustache trim. They were so kind and patient and had no issues working with my person moving their head every which way. The cut was clean, the atmosphere was relaxed and upbeat. Will definitely be bringing more folx to this location. Also! The prices were more than fair.

I’ve been going here for about a year or so and I’ve been seeing Dave the entire time. I love the attention to detail he brings to his services and always making sure to listen and take care of my needs for my haircut. I’ve been supper happy with my cuts each time and he’s always able to find a time that works for me and his schedule. As far as the shop itself, I always feel welcome and the rest of the staff are very laid back and kind. It’s always great to come in and watch some retro movies or listen to some new wave. The client age varies for age and gender and those seeking a barber’s cut. Definitely recommend and call ahead because they book fast for day of!

The dude is a magician! My sons hair is very difficult its coarse and he's got very prominent calics. The price is around $35 but well worth it. He uses a vacuum to suck up hair and style at the same time! Its so cool! Good job!
