I recently moved to Columbus and it’s hard to find someone who understands your hairstyle. Niko gave me an amazing haircut and beard trim while listening to what I want. He goes above and beyond to provide an outstanding customer experience. He’s easy to speak with and the conversation was great. Looks like I found my place to go for a haircut!

I’ve never been to any other barbershop other than this gem in German Village, the whole vibe in here is great with the music and early 2000’s feel. These barbers have been cutting for years and never disappoint with the cuts. This barber shop is amazing, highly recommend

One of the best barbers I’ve had. I’ve been getting cut by Aaron for about a year and he never misses.. sharp fades, consistent results, and a great guy to sit in the chair with. Highly recommend booking with him.

I called ahead and the guy that answered made it clear that they were talking walk ins at the time. I told him that I wanted a “shape up” and he asked what did I mean by a shape up. Which is a pretty shocking question considering he’s a barber. He then goes on to ask what type of hair I have. I told him that I have braids and that I just wanted someone to line up any ingrown hair around my neck and hairline. After I explained this, the story changes and suddenly they “aren’t taking walk ins.” The phone call was a mere two minutes long, so it’s pretty insane how fast he flipped the script. He then goes on to say he doesn’t feel “comfortable” cutting my hair and they only take walk ins if they “feel like doing it.” Total disbelief by this phone call. I couldn’t imagine what they would’ve said had I just gone there without calling. I’m a female that really just needed my sideburns cut off and maintenance along my forehead and the back of my head. I wouldn’t recommend this barbershop to anyone. To be judged/stereotyped over the phone is insane! 10/9 Update: Unless you were the individual that took the call, you wouldn't know what the person's intentions were. And if you were the individual speaking with me, then shame on you for saying you were taking walk ins in the beginning of the call at 1:06PM (as mentioned in the first sentence of my review) and then suddenly saying you were no longer taking walk ins after learning I have braids at 1:08PM. I’ve attached a photo this time. Why would I be on the phone for two minutes if walk ins weren’t accepted? If anything, I'd say the interaction on the phone was harsh, but I digress. In my 31 years of living, it's safe to say that I know when I'm being stereotyped. I was also asked "what kind of hair" I have right before the change of heart and discomfort in taking me as a customer. The apology is not genuine as it is paired with fabricated excuses and zero accountability. I was across the street when I called and this business was not busy at 1:08PM on October 4th. The business also claimed to be taking walk ins just 2 minutes prior (in the beginning of my call). Growth can only happen when you acknowledge any shortcomings. This review should've served as an indicator to do better and not allow anyone to have a repeat experience. Please note, the timestamp on the screenshot shows 1308 because I recently became an Army veteran. But the fact remains, no one deserves this treatment!

I’m sorry that we were not able to get you in for a service. It was a busy Saturday when you called. We will take walk-ins whenever we have the availability. Certain services can vary in the length of time required. This is why we were asking what you meant by a shape up to avoid any confusion between barber and client. No one judged you or stereotyped you over the phone. Everyone is welcome. I think your 1 star review is harsh. Hope you have a change of heart and make it in for a service.

I have been going to Nikos since he opened his first shop in German Village. First things first he cuts an incredible head. I never have to tell him, he just knows. And when I sit he goes to work. At the shop there is never a dull moment, it’s old school. We all talk about sports and what’s going on. It’s a social atmosphere and adds to the greatness of the shop. He’s been cutting me since I moved to Columbus and I will never change. A great guy and has a great atmosphere in the shop.

Niko’s Barber Shop consistently offers excellent service. I’ve had haircuts from multiple barbers there, and every time the haircut and beard trim are top-notch. I’ve been a loyal customer for years. After returning to Columbus after moving away for a few years, Niko’s was first on my list for a haircut, and the service remains outstanding. Highly recommend!

First time Niko's patron. Walked right into a chair with no wait, however the shop was busy with customers, this is a positive. I received a great cut. From watching the barbers it is easy to see that attention to detail is a cornerstone of this shop. Cash only, reasonable prices for the high quality of service. Niko's will be my new barbershop.
