Out of the different barbershops I’ve been to, this one is my favorite one. It is a cozy place where you will get a haircut what feels to be faster than you can say haircut, and they even have this practice where you can reserve a haircut where you don’t have to show up and must wait for whoever needs to go next. Mike is also a cool guy who is willing to have conversations with you and wants you to look good. To me, it has those things that people tend to want specifically from a barbershop, and the reservation practice is not common amongst many barbershops you’ll find. If you are in Woodside or are not too far from it, I recommend you give this place a try. Hell, I’d walk a million miles to get to this place If I had to.

Been getting my haircut by Mike for the last 7 years and he never disappoints. He’s pleasant, fast, and efficient. He’ll have you in and out in no time. You can make an appointment, which is very helpful, or just walk in. The shop is clean and the location is great. I highly recommend Mike!

Mike has been cutting my hair for over 12 years now and is always consistent, and efficient. I'm very particular about my haircuts and Mike is always spot on. My hair is also tricky to cut so other barbers have challenges, not Mike. Even through COVID he offered house visits and although I no longer live in the area I still commute to Mike for my haircuts. Can always count on Elegant Barber Shop for a fresh, sharp and clean look! Thank you Mike!

I was passing through this neighborhood for work today when I caught my reflection in the window of this barbershop... and realized I was WAY overdue for a cut. The irony was for REAL. I popped my head in, and the barber was just cleaning up from his last customer. He said he had a few minutes, so I took a seat. Twenty-one minutes later, I walked out a new man...with a new favorite barber. Mike.

I’ve been going here for 10 years, and the only issue I have with the barbershop is that it’s not the most well known and acclaimed one in the city. The haircuts here are always top notch, accurate to request, and fairly priced. Never once have I been dissatisfied with a haircut from Mike. Speaking of him, he’s such a class act, always tries to make everyone feel at home and he remembers all his loyal customers. He’s remembered stuff about me that even I forgot about 😂. I’ve gone to someone who wasn’t him two times for a haircut since I’ve been going here, and both times neither of them could even come close to what he does. Also, the reservation service that Elegant has is amazing, it’s always great to walk in and instantly start your haircut. If you want a nicely priced, excellent haircut from the friendliest barber in NYC, go here. If you don’t, then what the hell are you doing?

I've been coming to Mike for the past year since I've moved to the area, and I feel fortunate to have found him so early in my search for a barber. Most importantly, Mike knows how to cut hair and gives a great cut to me every time. On top of that, he has always been a friendly face and is always on time and punctual with his appointments. He's not charging an arm or leg for a haircut like some of the other places and he just gives a great client experience.

I’ve been going to Mike for over 20 years. This is the best barbershop! My new favorite thing is that now you can make an appointment. So there’s no wait! It’s so awesome. I’m always in and out. Mike is very consistent with his great cuts and is also just a great guy in general. He’s very easy to get along with and has a kind and funny personality. Everything about this shop is fantastic.

Tip: Call Mike and make an appointment beforehand. Waiting for the chair to be empty can sometimes take more than an hour. I’ve been going to Mike for over 3 years now and every single time I see him, I enter looking like a werewolf and leave looking like Daddy Yankee. On top of the great haircuts he gives, he’s also really easy to chat with. I will be a customer of Mike’s as long as hair grows on my head. Plus, the prices are can’t be beat!
