Really depends on which barber you get, my sons get their haircut here for years and this one barber manages to butcher my son’s hair every time. I tell my husband not to let him cut our kids hair but he’s too embarrassed to wait for the better barbers. You’d think after 7 years he’d improve, but nope, he’s only getting worse! The owner needs to train this guy or let him go, that’s why I’m leaving the bad review for the entire store

I use this Barber Shop all the time. The prices are reasonable, there is ample parking next door, and I rarely wait. However, Eli does a great job... the rest, not so much. They usually rush and don't follow directions leaving you with a mediocre haircut at best.

Very simple place. You walk in and easily get a haircut. No loud obnoxious music, never overcrowded. It's a very easy going place. I've been going here for 3 years and have not once had any problems.

Barbershop ? More like a butcher shop. I’m new to the area and went for a haircut , a trim on top and short on the sides. First time at this barbershop, I went in with a smile and said hello to get no greeting back. Then I was told to sit in one of the chairs that had hair all over it from the last guy. The barber started cutting my hair and then answered a FaceTime call mid haircut … the sides of my hair weren’t even cut properly, and the top was butchered with dull scissors which felt like my hair was being pulled out every snip. I paid the $14 and even a six dollar tip, but when I got to my car it look like I was going through chemotherapy because all the hair he cut was still on top of my head. It was all unevenly cut, I was so embarrassed . I had to go to another barbershop after which they told me they could help me out, but had to cut my hair even shorter than I wanted it originally because it was so messed up. I will never go back there again and I’m trying to warn people just pay the regular $25 at a different barber.

One of my 1st haircuts when i was a child was at this place and all through my youth. Now took my son. Great haircuts, Fast and Clean. Eddie is the Man!

Eddie is my barber. been cutting my hair for nearly 20 years...always a great job. great shop, nice group of men, and never much of a wait, what more could you want...pre pandemic there is 3 to 4 barbers always working prices have gone up but still fair but not cheap..

It's amazing that this is still called Sal's Barber shop on here as cell hasn't been there in probably 20 years. I've been getting my haircut here since I'm about 4 or 5 years old. I've had the same Barber now for about 10 years. My last Barber Mike died unfortunately, but now Eli gives me great cuts. Excellent reliable services barbershop, can't go wrong.

This barber shop is not a hair salon. This is a place where you can develop a long term relationship with the man who cuts your hair. No need to specify how you want your hair cut every time you go, just see the same guy every time and get the same haircut. Comfortingly consistent. Great price. 1 star removed for being somewhat dated looking; not in early to mid twentieth century dated look, more like the seventies and eighties kinda dated.

Good place $11 to start the haircut tell them what you want they will help you if you go with Mr Frank tell him to be a little more precise the details with the cut but the best price in South Valley Stream fast highly recommended
