Could be a bit friendlier. I understand it’s a business, although it felt like being processed on an assembly line sit down, cut, pay, next. A little more hospitality would go a long way!

David is the best! He has been cutting my hair for the past few months and my cuts always come out great! He is always super friendly and professional. If you are looking for a new barbershop I highly recommend going to Mr. Proper and seeing David!!!

I’ve been going to Mr. Proper for a while now and every visit is consistently top-notch. Sam is my go-to barber—he’s professional and detail-oriented. You can tell he really cares about his craft and takes the time to understand exactly what you’re looking for. Highly recommend Sam and the entire team at Mr. Proper. Easily one of the best barbershops on Long Island.

Been coming here for 3+ years and have never had a problem. Always consistently a good haircut, and specifically David is very professional, friendly, and consistent. I highly recommend this barber shop

My barber for life. The whole shop is beautiful, a nice laid back old school barber feel to the whole place. my barber is david, he’s been cutting my hair for probably 8 years now. you don’t just sit there and get your hair cut, you have conversations and hangout like a true barbershop. always professional, respectful, and the cuts are always crisp. on my wedding day david came in, which was a holiday for him, and made sure i had my haircut. can’t say enough about everyone at the place, top notch.

I’ve been very reluctant to put this post because I was a patron there for a while but after receiving multiple emails about a new shop opening, I have to put this out there. David , the owner, rented the shop out to me on my wedding day and never showed up. I had to call multiple times along with speak to another barber before he showed up. This was on my wedding day as a groomsmen gift. I will genuinely never go back to the shop again. It almost ruined my wedding.

There were some timing issues that morning, but I made sure everyone got taken care of, offered a discount, and you expressed appreciation at the time.<br><br>As for the recent emails you’re referencing, they have no connection to your experience and seem unrelated to this review.<br><br>You also mentioned no longer coming to the shop, but to be clear your regular barber, who also had an issue that morning, no longer works here, and that’s the real reason for the change.<br><br>I’ve always taken pride in going above and beyond for my clients and the shops clients. Even in the rare instance I fall short, I do everything I can to make it right and that’s exactly what I did that day.<br><br>Thanks again for the support you’ve shown in the past, and I truly wish you the best moving forward.

Very nice place to get a haircut! The barbershop is very clean, and the staff are super friendly. My hair looks great—huge thanks to my barber, Sam. The prices are also very reasonable. I’ll definitely be coming back!

First time at mr. proper. i love that we were able to make an appointment. other places I'm used to, it's all walk in and you never know how long you'll have to wait. nice people, clean, chill environment. Andrew took his time and did an awesome job on my children and I. best haircuts we've had in a long time. we will definitely be coming back regularly.
