The haircuts are consistently clean, sharp, and exactly what you ask for. Marcello is not only extremely skilled and experienced, but also a genuinely nice person who makes you feel comfortable every time you’re in the chair. You can tell he takes pride in his craft and pays attention to detail. If you’re looking for a barber who knows what he’s doing and delivers quality every time, this is the place. Highly recommend.

My husband and I were looking for a close friendly barber. My husband desperately needs a hair cut. We saw this place and looked inside. Looks lovely and clean so we thought we found the right place. My husband walked in to be greeted by the guy who was a complete snob to him. Please note there was no one else in there. No one waiting to be treated. The place was empty. This guts comes from the back room. And saids very hatefully. That he would not treat my husband because he needs an appointment. We understand if it's a busy day but it wasn't. The sign outside the building stated walks in are welcomed.thats a lie. The ones that are welcomed there are repeaters.no new ppl. We will be taking our money and going to friendlier place. I do not recommend this place to anyone. And if your a regular leave and go to a better one that knows how to treat ppl.

Bad place so I've been living in lic now for 3 years. This place continues to snub me. Every time I go to it I ask for a haircut they say they cannot do it at this time to come back later. This week that just passed I went in there on the 1st to get a haircut. I was met by a white gentleman who told me that he cannot give me a cut. Because he had people coming even though the barber shop was completely empty. He said that I needed to go online and make a reservation. Yet the sign out says Walk ins welcome it's not a welcome inviting place. Its cruel. Also selective. Even though most of the days it's empty all barbers are rude. I went three times to get a cut and was denied all three times. I will not be going back and I will not be recommending this place to anybody. It's a horrible place with horrible people. I even though my barber retired 2 years ago he still works in Astoria and I will go to see him on those specific dates instead of wasting time on your new barber. Stay away from this place

Just went in for the first time and had Anthony cut my hair. He took his time to ask a lot of questions about what I was looking for and really delivered. Also he's a very nice guy. Though their website seems to indicate you can pay by card, that's not exactly true. You can pay by Venmo/Zelle for a $5 surcharge which I wasn't too upset about since I got a great haircut. Also it's right off the 7 line which makes it very convenient.

I had blonde highlights a few months back and most of it had grown out and I had some of it trimmed off. The remaining scattered bits were pretty unsightly when my hair grew out again, looking like a bunch of greys among my disheveled hair (not to mention I had some actual greys on the sides of my head). So I was looking to get a cut that would clean this all up. I gave a brief verbal description of what I wanted and Marcello was like "I got you." Less than 20 minutes later, I had exactly the cut I had envisioned, topped off with a touch of cologne and a hot towel. This guy knows what he's doing. I'll be back.

Decent haircut but issues with pricing. Got a haircut here and they suggested lowering the length of the beard, I agreed so they passed the machine on through my beard for 30 seconds. Initial haircut was $40 and beard trim was an additional $40. There was no warning that it would cost more and no willingness to discuss from the owner

Marcello is the man! He's an excellent barber. My hair cuts come out crispy every single time. Setting up appointments is super easy and he can usually accommodate same day cuts. His cuts last for days too, I don't know how. Book with Marcello, he'll get you right, pause.

Made a Same Day Appointment with Marcelo Barber Shop! Went to the spot around 6:30pm and had the best experience! My Barber was Skillful with the Scissors. Best haircut I have had in a really long time and I will be returning to Marcello’s for my usual haircuts from this day forward!

Marcello is great barbershop. I have been going to him for the past 5-6 years and always had best treatment. My brother, nephew , cousin , Father, we all go to this place. Guys stop being babies, if you are not happy with your haircut, explain it better next time to your barber and also don’t worry your hair grows back in 10 days. Also don’t cry for $40-$50 , treat them nicely, tip nicely and you get a good service
