I brought my 12-year-old brother in as a walk-in for a shape-up after another barber had messed it up a 4 days earlier. I clearly explained the situation, and to be fair, the barber did the best he could with what he was given. — no issue there. Before the cut, I reviewed the price list that was posted in the shop. It listed $20 for a shape-up and $25 for a fade 13 and under (or similar wording). There was nothing posted indicating a $35 children’s haircut. Had I seen that price beforehand, I would not have stayed. After the haircut, the barber initially told me the price was $25. When I questioned it, he changed it to $30, mentioning the inconvenience. Because I was in a rush, I paid. Later that night, I called to address the situation ,not just about the money, but the principle. He apologized and told me to come back the next day. When I returned on January 13, the issue still wasn’t properly resolved. He only refunded $5 and insisted I wasn’t overcharged. Another barber then claimed that children’s haircuts are $35, yet the posted price list I had seen days earlier was no longer displayed. When I asked about it, I was told they never had a price list — which directly contradicted what I personally saw.( They removed it before I got to the shop) I strongly support Black-owned businesses, but support also means accountability. Barbershops are more than businesses — they’re important community spaces, especially for young Black boys who look forward to getting their hair cut with pride. Transparency and honesty matter. Changing prices after a service is completed and removing posted pricing is not acceptable. Karma is real, and I leave that part to God. As a community, we have to do better. We must do better. I’ve attached before-and-after photos so others can judge for themselves.

One of my favorite barbershops in NY, I didn’t have a reservation, called in to get a cut and they took good care of me. . The prices were good, the barbers were experts in their crafts and the shop was a clean and welcoming environment.

Me and my wife recently moved nearby and took our son to the barbershop for the first time ever. We wasn't sure what the outcome would be or how long we would have to wait but sure enough we walked in and was seen right away by Joe. Joe was outstanding as you can see by the before and after pictures i attached to this review. There's a little redness around his lineup not sure if that's due to the clipper's being hot or his skin but hopefully it goes away and doesn't become irritated. Overall his confidence is through the roof and he feels amazing and loves his new cut except for the redness of course.

Been getting cuts from these professionals for the past 25 years. Junior, Joe, and company have kept me looking sharp through it all; from full head of black hair, to salt and pepper, to sparse and gray. These men treat you like a member of the family! Never been disappointed! They are the best!

Been going here over 10 years. Now my son is a regular too. I have a regular barber but have gone to the others and was never disappointed which is rare to find. Great professional service while still having the man escape vibe. Took every precaution during Covid-19.

Junior and Joe have been cutting my hair for the last 25 to 30 years. Junior is my primary barber. I am so comfortable with the job he does I can close my eyes while he cuts and know that I will end up with a nice haircut. The shop is always clean and well kept. Do yourself a favor and schedule an appointment, walking in is sketchy.

Clean, professional feel. Videos streaming on mega-sized TV provides some entertainment and relaxation. I liked it and will definitely make it my new place when style 'gets to my head'.😊
