Love coming here. Tried a few times without an appointment, but wasn't successful, then started making appointments thru their website, which is ready enough. Really good service. I always go with Bruna, who is awesome! Very good recommendations on what to do, if you're not sure, but also doing a great job when you know what you want. This has been my barber shop for more than a year, and will keep coming back! Highly recommend!

Been going here for 5 years. Tried plenty of “top spots” since moving 9 years ago, but they kinda do what they want. Niamh listens to what you’re saying and makes it look great. Niamh has had people move to different states and fly back just for a cut. That’s a top notch barber 👌

I've been going to Niamh for almost 2 years now. She listens to what I want and makes great suggestions on ways to improve my cut. I have a mullet, which I've had a lot of barbers mess up. Niamh always has me leaving looking hella fresh.

Worst haircut I have ever been given in my life. Mike Giasulla was 20 minutes late to my cut. Proceeded to yap through the cut in front of me. Genuinely terrible experience. I will have to go somewhere else and have it fixed. Never have I come out of a cut with my hair looking worse than it did before. Then he wants to get defensive. I will never return there which is sad because last time I was there was awesome.

Prematurely I reached out to you as soon as I saw this and I offered for you to come in so I could see what could be done to remedy the situation . You never responded . I did this before I actually spoke to my staff which was my fault . Turns out you were very rude, refused to communicate properly like an adult and chose to curse and flip the barber off before walking out without paying . You don't have to come back please save us the trouble .

Vibes are phenomenal - barbers are kind and extremely talented. Bruna consistently checked in and asked questions to clarify what I want. Buckley is a perfect barbershop pup. This is undoubtedly my new go to spot.

In the 8+ years I have been going to Stepping Razor I have sat for a few different barbers -- all talented. For the last several years, I have been booking with Niamh. She is super consistent, rarely behind schedule, and works methodically but never rushed. You can tell that she takes pride in her craft. Over the years, I have found the price to be reasonable, especially for the quality of the skin fade.

I've been coming to The Stepping Razor Barbershop for over 4 years now. I live across BK and have literally ridden my bike through the WORST rain storms just to get my haircut by Niamh! They are a thoughtful and meticulous barber that has a keen eye for even the tiniest of details. I always get so many compliments on my haircuts and was stopped by a hairstylist the other day to compliment me on how well my hair was cut to fit my face shape. The space itself is always clean and the whole staff is engaging. The shop is a welcome space for queer people and folks of any identity or background. Haircuts are an intimate experience and this shop takes great care ensuring it's clients always feel comfortable and that their presence is appreciated. Cannot recommend this place enough, come through for a great cut from an outstanding crew!

The best haircut in Bushwick, hands down! Everyone is super nice, and the shop has a cool retro vibe. I’ve been going here for almost a year now, and I get a buzz fade every 5 weeks or so. Niamh cuts my hair perfectly every time. She takes time to make sure everything is even, and is so cool and kind. I leave feeling so good about myself and always look forward to my next appointment. Truly could not be happier that I found her and Stepping Razor!

It’s the only barbershop I’ve been going to for the last 10 years for a reason. Aside from the stellar cuts, the atmosphere is TOO COOL to pass up and all the barbers are top of their class with amazing personalities that make the place feel more than just your local cut. Danny and the gang are some of the coolest people you’ll ever meet and you’ll never have to wonder if you’re getting a good cut again. This is the spot.
