⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Richard at The Great Commission Barbershop is outstanding! We are new to Bed-Stuy, and today my husband took our 12-year-old son to Richard to get his hair cut after having a great experience himself recently. Once again, Richard delivered. He has now done a fantastic job for both my husband and our special needs son, and each time the results have been sharp, polished, and exactly what we hoped for. This is a busy Brooklyn barbershop with multiple chairs going, clippers buzzing, blow dryers running, and conversations overlapping, just the way a place like this should be, but it can be a lot for a kid like ours. Richard worked with total calm and confidence in the middle of it all and spent lots of time making sure our son looked suave. This was after he sent my husband home to me more handsome than ever! Richard is patient, talented, and professional with awesome results. He handles clipper work, scissor cutting, fades, and styling with precision, but just as importantly, he maintains a steady, respectful presence. My son stayed seated, followed directions, tolerated the sensory input, and left proud of his haircut. That confidence matters more than anything. Richard is the real deal. He is an excellent barber with an excellent demeanor and someone we trust with our family. We’ll absolutely keep coming back. Richard es un barbero sumamente talentoso y preciso en su trabajo. Richard Wladimir gives the best fade and cut in all of BK and NY! He is the best! 10/10 would recommend him! His attention to details is spot on and he’s so talented !!

Richard Wladimir was great! I never been to a barbershop mainly cause my aunt cuts my hair but after coming to this place, it has great service and great people too! Definitely recommended! Richard did a great job on my hair! :D

Booking was extremely stressful, due to him having openings on the Booksy app but not honoring them in person. He had one in the chair and he claimed he had two more people waiting at my 3 o’clock appointment. Cherry on top is I left out of frustration and on the app he put I was a no show 🤣.

I came in here mad at my previous experiences in nyc barbershops with a horrible attitude. Angel sat me down and gave me the best haircut I’ve gotten so far here. I’m not going to lie, I did not have faith in him at first but he was so kind and focused. these guys are good

Javier has been my barber since I moved to Brooklyn he’s the best! He takes his time when cutting your hair and is always aiming for perfection. I can honestly say he’s never given me a bad haircut or lineup.

I’ve been in the neighborhood now for almost a year now and I can say, wholeheartedly, that this is one of the best barbershops I’ve ever been to. It’s clean and everyone who works here is beyond friendly. Should you find yourself looking for a new barber - Jean López is a great choice. His booking process is super easy via Booksy and never once did I have to wait later than the time I scheduled. Not to mention, he’s an absolute stellar barber. Can’t recommend him enough!
