I was hoping for the barber to be more consultative. I had an idea of what I wanted but don’t think he put the effort in really understand what I was looking for. He seems like a good barber for short simple hair but I didn’t think it was worth the 40 price tag

Been coming to The Goal Barbershop on Wilson Ave for years now — and I’m not going anywhere else. Lucas holds it down every time. Dude’s a real artist with the clippers, always crisp, always on point. Him and his wife run the place together and you can feel the love and pride they put into it. Clean shop, chill vibe, no ego — just real Bushwick energy. If you’re in the area and need a proper cut, this is the spot. No cap.

Lucas is an amazing barber and person. Would 100% recommend. He works fast with detail, plays good music, and has a good soul. The type of business you want to support. Only place I’ll go!

I had asked for 3/4 of an inch in length to be taken off of the front, 2 inches were taken off and the top is uneven, it sits very badly. I need to either 1) style it every day or 2) wear a hat because it no longer sits well. The barber did not use clips to hold the longer hair in place while doing the fade/undercut. He instead used his hand to hold the hair in place/push the hair in my face while shaving. The experience and the results were not what I would expect from a barbers that has been opened for this long. Really very unhappy with the results.

We are very surprised to see this review without any explanation of the reasons why you did it. We wonder if you were upset not to have been attended to directly by Lucas? We can only thank you for your comment, full of explanations that are not credible, given that every barber in this business, after cutting the top, asks the client and at the same time shows him in the mirror the length that the client wants to cut. Just got my haircut there for the first time in about 6 months. Lucas, one of the barbers there, was great. Gave me an awesome haircut and touched up my beard a bit. Good prices, great vibe. If you need a trim, don't hesitate going here.

Lucas always takes great care of my hair with a lot of details and attention. He is also friendly and kind. The haircut is also very affordable for NYC. Highly recommend!

Very nice barber. Busy with lots of repeat clients around the neighborhood so book in advance. He’s good at what he does and offers a fair price especially compared to less talented barbers throughout this area of Brooklyn. Will definitely be coming back and bringing friends here as well.
