Although I’m out of town at least 6 months of the year I will only get my haircut at Smith Street Barbershop. I consistently get a great haircut at a reasonable price and I will go nowhere else.

Gabriel runs one of those rare barbershops that feels like both a craft and a community. He takes his time with every cut, blending razor and scissor work seamlessly, always asking for feedback and dialing in the details until it’s just right. The consistency and care show in the results. It’s a tremendous value and has become a small institution in the heart of Brooklyn.

I can’t say enough good things about this barbershop. Every visit feels personal—my barber always takes the time to make sure I’m comfortable, asks the right questions about how I want my hair, and genuinely listens. The quality of the cut is consistently top-notch, and it’s clear they take pride in their work. They go the extra mile to make sure I leave happy, and it shows in the details. Friendly, professional, and talented—this is exactly how a barbershop should be run. Highly recommend!

I've now been getting my haircut by Daniel (and occasionally Gabriel) for over 10 years at Smith Street Barbershop. They do a phenomenal job and the price is reasonable. They're a real asset to the neighborhood.

I’ve been getting haircuts from Gabriel and Daniel (and the rest of their family at the Court Street location) for almost twenty years. There’s a reason they’ve been in business so long - they’re fantastic! They check every box - professional, friendly, skilled, and efficient. You need to experience the 4-star haircutting and styling here at Smith Street Barbershop (and David’s on Court!).

I have been bringing my young boys here for about 6 years. The barbers here are excellent with kids. Always friendly, warm and welcoming. A rare neighborhood shop. No drama, good clean cuts.

I have been getting my haircut for the last 10 yrs a Smith St Barbershop. Both Gabriel and Daniel are true professionals. They have created a wonderful community in their shop, with many regulars. Their clientele reflects the community and it is always a happy place...a fantastic, successful small business. Bravo Gabriel and Daniel!!!!

I have patronized Smith Street Barber Shop for about four years now and will continue to do so. The shop has a cool vibe because it is run by authentic, hardworking guys. Both Daniel and Gabriel are masters of their craft and also very welcoming. The shop is clean, the prices are reasonable, and the haircuts are of quality. I always leave much happier than when I walk in.

Like other reviewers, I've been going to Smith Street Barbershop for years. I have consistently liked the cuts I get. The guys who work there are friendly and the quality of service is excellent. The price is right, too. We are very lucky to have them here on Smith Street.

Smith Street barber shop is the best in the neighbourhood. Prices are fair, service is quick and Gabriel always give me a fresh cut.
