Great service and a good business—they charge very fair rates. I’ve come here for over a year and they consistently do a good job. Igor is particularly masterful with the blades.

There are a good amount of barbers on Franklin ave on both sides of the street .a lot of competition which is good because it allows the business to strive to be better than the rest.i can only discuss my personal experience with this establishment. Sometime ago I walked in this barbershop for one reason people go to barbershops to get a haircut! When I walked in there were a few barbers both male and female. I ask the barber who looked at me for a haircut and he began to speak to the women and men in a foreign language it went on for a few minutes and he said they were busy and he wasn't sure but could I come back in a couple of hours. I walked out feeling strange because when I walked in the looks I received seemed like they were wondering what I was doing there. A door or two down there is a karate studio that was once a unisex barbershop. And I would go there considering I live close by. Not sure what that was about but my enstinct tell me they weren't that busy. Currently I walk over to Nostrand to get a cut not because the barbers are better I wouldn't know but I feel welcome. 10/31 I have Decided to give two extra stars 🌟 giving this barbershop a fresh start due to not haven't seen the people involved for a while working inside sheer madness. It's always clean and it's not one of those eyesore barbershops. I'll try again! 11/1 the company responded! It's always good to see the establishment respond to the review! 11/29 kept my promise and returned had a shape up with Igor good fast job will return.

Was in a pinch so i came here. Barber cut my hair much shorter than i asked for and when he trimmed my beard he was going so fast that he left cuts/razor bumps that are now inflamed, and only got worse he put on the aftershave. Only giving two stars because i could tell he was genuinely trying to do a good job.

I have been coming here for years. It’s always a great pleasure to get a haircut with Steven. A welcoming atmosphere and very detail oriented service. Wonderful place they do great kids cuts here too, both my children come here. Highly recommend.

Saw the best review , but I got the bad experience. I had taken for over 3 month to get my hair long enough before cutting :so that, i can get the expected hair style i want , brought the photo to show and discuss with crew before cutting , but finally I got the very weired hair style. Never visit again, ( 1st photo is the photo i show to the crew and 2nd is my hair after cutting)

I followed my barber Tim here. Tim recently joined Sheer Madness from another local barbershop and I didnt think twice about switching barbershops. Tim knows how to navigate my thick hair and receding hairline, he sweats the details and is very attentive, and is easily one of the most skilled and professional barbers I’ve ever met. He’s also just an all around good person that cares deeply about his clients. I always enjoy our conversations and I find my monthly visits very relaxing. The vibe at Sheer is inviting, the price is reasonable and it’s easy to book an appointment online. Can’t ask for much more than that. Tim has been my guy that I trust and I will go to him for years to come.

My worst nightmare happened. Eugene gave me one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever had. After 5 years of growing out my hair and keeping it long, he decided to cut it short. I feel like it took away my identity and my style…it’s def bothered me a lot for a few days now. I get extremely frustrated every time I look in the mirror. If you want a cut that makes you look like everyone else, go to Eugene. Poor communicator and showed no empathy toward me. He told me my hair shouldn’t be long. That’s super judgmental cmon you have no say in my hair.

Been coming to Steve’s shop for about 5 years now, every part of the experience is fantastic. Every barber is good, not an exaggeration. Lena is my barber and she is fantastic but if you can’t get her, any of the others are great! I’m a picky guy when it comes to my hair and this is my trusted spot.

Best barber shop in crown heights. Service here is excellent and all the barbers are very experienced. They will help you out with figuring out what sort of a cut you want. Igor is the best but he gets busy so make sure to make a reservation!
