I'm not a person who speaks in superlative terms, but Sergey is by far one of the most skilled barber with the scissors as you'll find them here in the area. I value my hair a great deal because it is a large part of my identity and I actively seek out only the best. Craft + relationship are key to anyone who cuts your hair. The only regret I have is not going to him sooner.

I’ve been living in New York for five years, and I can confidently say that Resident Barber gives the best haircut I’ve had in the city. My hair is mixed and grows in different directions, which can be challenging, but he handles it with precision and skill every single time. His consistency is unmatched, and the attention to detail he puts into every cut truly sets him apart. From the moment I walked in, I felt completely at ease. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a very comfortable place to be. The shop has a unique charm, blending modern updates with an old-world barber shop vibe. My haircut turned out great—he really took the time to listen to my concerns and executed it perfectly. Afterward, he trimmed my mustache and finished with a relaxing warm towel wrap. I'm thrilled with how my hair turned out and will definitely be returning.

Great barbershop, services are excellent value and Sergei will ensure you have the cut you need! I moved to the Park Slope area a couple months ago and was looking for a new regular barber for haircuts and beard trims. I’m very happy to have found Sergei, he has super high attention to detail, and will take the time needed to get the cut and shape right. His shop is clean, and it’s easy to book online! Prices are also great. ‘Full service’ which includes haircut and beard styling with all the works is $80 (my last place was $80 just for the haircut of similar quality). You can also get ‘the cleanup’, tidying up back and sides hair, and beard styling for $40 … a great option for the midpoint between cuts. Thank you Sergei!

Sergey gave me exactly what I wanted!! Grew my hair medium length and my current barber never knew how to style it, so very happy to have found someone to execute on the look I wanted. I showed Sergey a photo of what I wanted and he delivered. 10/10
