Fantastic barbershop. Not only were they expert barbers but they took their time, it wasn't in and out like most barbers in NYC. My barber (I forgot his name, he is the one from the Bay Area) was phenomenal. I am 100% going back. Thank you providing such an amazing service!

Sean and Christian have set up an awesome barbershop, and always provide a quality service. I have been seeing Sean for over a year now and couldn’t be happier with the cut and beard trim every time. Highly recommend!

I’ve been going to Christian since before he was at Kinship, and I followed him because he’s just that good. He’s incredibly reliable, always delivers a sharp cut, and knows how to switch things up when I want a change without losing what works for me. Once he’s seen you a couple of times, you rarely have to remind him what you usually get. He remembers the details and executes every time. If you’re looking for consistency, precision, and walking out genuinely satisfied with your cut, Christian is your guy

I have been getting haircut from Nick since we were friends in college. So of course I will continue getting my haircut from him now. Nick is a great barber who understands your needs. He is very consistent and gives me exactly the style I want every single time. I have asian hair but I know for a fact that he does a great job with all kinds of different hairstyle and hair texture. Go hit him up and you won't be disappointed.

I've been going to Christian for about a year now and have left happy after every single haircut. The vibe in the shop is always relaxed and I never feel rushed. Consistent quality, great service, and an all-around good experience.

Great hair cut for my hair type, Nick made me comfortable, gave great tips for styling and products I’d never heard before but worked so well for me. Really recommend!!! Especially the shave + hot towel

A third place, I'd do my taxes here if I could. The barbers are also all quality. I heard a rumor that they just ordered a luxury fridge? Might be Greenpoints next best wine bar. They have no limitations in style or technique. Got long locks? No Problem. Need a temp fade? No Problem. Join the family.

Nick is a long time friend and a great barber. He actively listens to what I want, and offers suggestions that turn into amazing cuts. Every haircut I’ve gotten from Nick goes to show his sense of style and dedication to his craft. Nick is genuinely passionate and extremely skilled at what he does. I will definitely be coming back

I’ve been living in the Greenpoint and Williamsburg area for over a decade now and have bounced around from shop to shop. It’s hard to fine a place that you feel comfortable in, that treats you like they care, feels real, and then actually gives you a good haircut. Kinship is all of these things. I got to my appointment 10 minutes early and was immediately greeted and offered a seat. I sat down and I think what is probably the biggest compliment a shop can get outside of a great cut is I didn’t need my phone to wait. Just sitting down listening to the music and the general talk between everyone in the shop was entertaining enough to chill for the 15ish minutes I had to wait (I was early.) From there Nick was my Barber and he was excellent. He was nice, knowledgeable, and he took his time to listen to what I was looking for and thoroughly explain what he was going to do, why, and how it would help me in what I wanted to do. The cut was excellent, the hot eucalyptus towels were a nice touch, and it just felt like a great environment to get a haircut in. For anyone in the area that may be like me and was searching for a spot they can finally say “that’s my spot” I wholeheartedly recommend Kinship Barbershop.

Just moved into the area, and needed a new barber ASAP. Planned on shopping around, starting with Kinship, and after one cut, best believe the search is over. Quality of the cut is unreal by Nick. I got a drop skin fade on the sides and an 8 guard on top, and the level of precision is unmatched. He walked me through the cut, let me know what he was doing and why at every step, and tailored it uniquely to my head shape and hair type. Towel service at the end, whiskey while you’re waiting, can’t top this experience. Highly recommend, especially my guy Nick!
