I can’t say enough good things about Ella at Jenara Salon. I have been looking for a stylist in Brooklyn who can deliver what I want (at an affordable price) for the past 1.5 years, and I finally found one! Ella was friendly, super skilled, and even took the time to talk to me about why certain cuts and styling would work best with my curly hair texture and frame. I will 100% be back — she delivered exactly what I wanted!

I have been coming here for almost a year now, and I have never left disappointed with a hair cut. Ella is simply the best! She is always super welcoming, and has an amazing eye for detail. No matter what style I’ve asked her for, I’m always confident she will deliver.

Ella is great! She does an excellent job with my hair and we just brought my toddler son in as well. He was a bit shy and scared at first but she quickly made him feel really comfortable and gave him a great haircut

Just took my 12 year old son there for the first time. Definitely not our last! Ella took her time and was very concentrated on her work. Great haircut! Very glad we tried it there. Updating 4 months later. My son has now had 4 haircuts with Ella and couldn’t be happier with the consistency and quality of care he receives. Today was the first time I’ve taken my 7 year old daughter to Ella and it definitely won’t be the last. Ella did a beautiful job with her hair and made the whole experience enjoyable for all. Thank you for two great cuts today! We’ll be going back again soon.

I went in with a very specific request for a layered haircut (a blend between mullet, shag, and long layers in the bottom) and Ella executed it to perfection! Her expertise was instrumental in getting the look I imagined—it was definitely an experiment for me but she was so helpful and understanding! Couldn’t recommend her more

I’ve been going to Ella at Jenara for a little over a year now since moving into the area, and am always very happy with the results of my haircuts. She always takes the time to listen to what I’m hoping for, and I never leave feeling like it’s shorter or longer than I expected. My girlfriend is always very happy with the results as well and is looking forward to checking out the salon knowing it’s unisex!

Just moved to the neighborhood and found Ella—easily one of the best barbers I’ve had in a long time. She was super welcoming and made me feel like part of the community right away. Not only did she give me a great cut, but she actually took the time to get to know me and really understand what I was going for. She pointed out a few things other barbers had missed and gave solid advice on what works best for my hair and face shape. For the first time in a while, I walked out with a cut that actually felt like me. Can’t wait to keep building on this with her in future visits. Highly recommend!

Ella was absolutely amazing!! I was a walk-in asking for a pretty drastic cut (medium length to pixie) and she accepted me no problem. Although she was kind enough to take me as a walk-in, I now understand why it's important to schedule appointments, especially for smaller local businesses. Next time, I'll be sure to make an appointment because she executed my style exactly as I described. She explained everything about why she used certain techniques, and we bonded over going to local places (gotta support the community!) Super fun and welcoming environment. My cut was $50+tip (also included blow-dry) If I could rate this shop higher, I would. 1000/10

The best experience at any barbershop in Brooklyn Professional and Expert. Insightful. Ella made my experience outstanding! I was surprised and delighted by her nice and beautiful attitude. This is the place and she is the expert to go to.
