I’ve been a long time customer of Jacks and have had mostly very positive experiences. I usually go with Alan who has been wonderful. Unfortunately today I went in for a typical cleanup and tried someone new. I showed a photo of myself from 2 weeks prior and asked for the photo, showing also how I part my hair. For reference, the photo was 4-5 on sides with about 4 inches on the top, for a middle/side part. They then proceeded to shave my sides completely and took so much off the top. I wear prescription glasses and couldn’t even see the damage until it was mostly done. Once I put them I saw they removed my natural side part and the top was now about 2 inches long. I was honestly in disbelief I didn’t even know what to say. It looks really bad. The barber said he liked the length he cut. I provided a picture for reference of MYSELF and instead of following it, the barber did a cut they wanted to see on me and said it looked good. While I respect trying something new, it wasn’t close to what I ask for and I now have to wait weeks for it to regrow. While most of my experiences have been great, it’s really disappointing when they don’t follow your requests. Exercise major caution with who you book.

5 starts to Sam. I've been getting my haircut with him for almost a year now, and he's simply the best. Listens to what I want, and then elevates the style. For a guy with curls, like me, it's important to trust my barber. I always leave feeling more confident and satisfied with the cut. Highly recommend!

I honest blame myself for coming back. I ask for scissor cut not to short in the back and sides aswell. He cut more than necessary. The sides are to short and the back is shorted than usual. There is really not much I can do with my hair to style it the way I like it. Both sides are uneven. One side of hair is a different length than the other side. It’s all over the place. For the price you expect better quality. I honestly I don't understand why it's difficult to give me what I asked for. I even had to stop him in the middle of the cut as he was going to cut more. Honestly the worst scissor cut I have received. I basically paid to ruin my hair. 0/10.

Alan is incredible with long hair. I came into the appointment with some pretty gnarly matting on the back of my head. Alan worked patiently through the affected strands and got it all out. The place is very clean throughout the process. Alan + Ray are wonderful to chat with during the process.

Unfortunately this was the second worst I’ve been to. Aside from my clothing being full of hair and all I had was a scraggly goatee, they did such a bad job with it that I went home and just shaved it all off completely.

Honestly one of the worst haircuts I've ever received. I have pretty curly hair and the barber combed it all out mangled it--clearly had no idea how to cut curls. Do not recommend at all.

After moving here it took me months to find a barber and stumbled upon Jack’s. Alan is amazing and is consistent in his work! I have been loyal ever since and will continue getting my haircuts here. Great stuff!
