Been going there for 2 years. Men haircut was 37$ in 2025... then 40$ end of 2025... now 43$... (45$ in credit card) and they have a tablet and force you to tip at least 20%. Owner comes next to you and says out loud of you want to tip. What a shame! Not going back!

So happy I found Barber on Pearl. Frank gave me the best hot shave and haircut I think I’ve ever had. True New York experience. Will definitely be back.

My 3 year old son hates getting his hair cut except when he goes here with Frank! He got so relaxed that he fell asleep while Frank worked on him! 10/10 experience, very kind staff, great service!

I’ve been coming to Barber on Pearl for over 2 years now. They are very professional and will take great care of your hair. I have seen Tina and Robert and they both do an amazing job. Prices are great for Dumbo and the shop has a cool vibe. The online booking is also very convenient. Nothing but good things to say about this place

Frank is very good. I’ve had good experiences with him. Also the owner I believe his name is Robert is always there to solve any problem and lookout for clients. Overall good place and recommended..

I’ve been coming to Barber on Pearl since right after the pandemic. Bruno takes care of me every time- very professional and a tremendous barber. Robert runs the show and runs a tight ship. Highly recommend!

I came in for a layered cut today with Anastasia, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. She was incredibly professional, attentive, and skilled. I appreciated that she took the time to consult with me beforehand and fully understood what I was looking for. The haircut itself was done efficiently and with great care, I truly loved the experience and her service. That said, I did feel uncomfortable during the final part of the appointment. A male staff member (perhaps a manager or even the owner) seemed to be pressuring her to finish faster, even though she was clearly doing her job with focus and professionalism. While I understand that scheduling can be tight, I believe it’s important to allow barbers the time they need to do their work properly. I would have gladly paid for extra time if needed. I’m giving 5 stars because Anastasia’s work was excellent, and she deserves it. But I do hope the management takes note: creating a respectful, pressure-free environment is essential for both staff and clients.

There are no lack of barber shops in New York, but none quite like this gem on cobblestone streets in the heart of Dumbo. The staff are skilled and the prices are excellent. I highly recommend Anastasia, as she’s especially meticulous, thoughtful, and brings creative solutions to every cut.

Brought my boyfriend here for a quick cheap haircut while in DUMBO and I was extremely impressed. $22 for a pretty great cut, extremely fast. He didn't get anything too complicated, and I'm not sure I'd go here for high level scissor work. But they had complimentary liquor for you while you got your hair cut (take that $50+ barber shops!) Definitely recommend for someone who's looking for a great quick cut.
