I came in as a walk in. I had the second barber, not the owner. The barber could not do any sort of skin fade. The owner kept looking over and pointed out missed spots or places that weren’t blended. After the cut, the skin fade part and the top of my head look completely butchered and separate. The guy also did a terrible job with the beard trim and missed a ton of spots. The beard wasn’t faded at all. The cost of the cut did not meet the skill. Would not recommend.

If you’re not looking for a symmetrical haircut, where the equipment is clean, the barber is paying attention, and you’re threatened if you don’t Zelle them right away before you even get out of the barber chair….then then this is the place for you!

It was the first time I took my 6 year old son to a barbershop. Once he was seated, the barber started cutting his hair right away without asking a single question about what look we wanted. During the whole process he grabbed and pressed my son’s head to stabilize it without even trying to ask him to cooperate. The way my son was treated made me think of the prisoners I’ve watched on television. Within 10 minutes he was done with his work and my son’s hair had never looked so ugly before (it looked like my son had put a piece of watermelon skin on his head, and left side and the right side weren’t even symmetrical!). If I was not there to see it with my own eyes, I would never believe a so called professional could do a work so terrible. The only thing they care is the cash you pay and they just want to get you out of there as fast as they can. Appalling!

Came in to the shop on a whim and left with one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. My barber Val was such a real guy, great conversations. Nothing like giving business to a great family guy who knows how to give a FRESH fade

I have had the luck to come across this barbershop a few weeks ago and I am extremely satisfied with the service that has been provided. I sat with both Vinny and Alex who both have the amazing ability to listen to what I want for a very reasonable price. The barbershop has an old school vibe that reminds me of my childhood and it’s neat and clean always so that’s a plus.

No question, the best barber experience in Riverdale. It’s a small operation with great neighborhood vibes. Though they allow walk-ins, it’s recommended to call ahead and make an appointment. And even same-day appointments are available too, so I’ll just call in the morning to guarantee a spot later that day. Love this place, I’m a customer for life now

For some reason when I moved to this neighborhood, it took me 3 tries to get a barber to cut my hair the way I liked it and I get the simplest haircut imaginable -- a buzzcut, the same length all around. It isn't hard. Anyway, this place finally perfected the art of the buzz cut. This will be my go to spot. Really nice guy too and reasonably priced.

I'm usually a huge fan of this great local barbershop, but my experience yesterday on their first day open in Phase 2 was not great. Vinnie had to be reminded to put his mask over his nose. Instead of having customers waiting outdoors, like most barbershops, they had people waiting indoors. Sorry, but one of the barbers asked me if I thought masks worked. I'd give this place a pass until they work out the kinks in how to provide haircuts in a safer environment. I'll be pleased to take down this review if other customers feel that they are taking the health and safety of vulnerable adults more seriously.

Great classic barber shop cut! Had Vinny in the first chair. Came out looking clean and good. It's old school here and using a straight edge to shave the back of your neck is part of a haircut - love that feeling of a perfectly smooth back of the neck afterwards. You don't have to make small talk but you can. Overall, friendly barbers, good cut, fair price.
