The best salon experience! The staff welcomes walk ins with a smile and makes sure your whole experience is comfortable from start to finish. My style took hours and not once did I feel rushed or overwhelmed. Time was taken to listen for exactly what I wanted and was executed with skill. Definitely where you need to be for your next style.

I'd been here twice before, both times excellent. But then their main loctician left and the service they offer now is beyond basic. They wanted to shampoo and style my hair without using conditioner after. And then still charge the same price as before. Then be rude and dismissive when I complained. I'm sorry but the health of my hair comes first. I'm never going back here. It's too bad because Maame - the old loctician was excellent.

Charged me $80 for braids that’s not even straight nor neat. Never again. That’s what I get trying to help out our black own businesses. Never going back here again. 🤦🏾♀️

Maame was the best loctician I found only had one other but hands down this is the bomb. She did a treatment on my hair that was heavenly, it felt awesome then on to the locs...my 1st loc & style sooooooo beautiful. Will be going again. I must say price kinda steep but worth it I say 100%.

I have been cutting my hair with Big Six for more then 5yrs. The customer service at this place is just excellent. They treat everyone as family. Whether you are cutting your hair or waiting for your turn, the environment is just comforting with positive vibes and laughters all around. Big Six is simply the best barber in NY!!!

My experience with big six shop was pretty amazing, Tahiru and Maame were very nice people all round. Very friendly, respectful and job was on point. I will recommend to everyone who wanna get their looks on point look no further! Much love ❤️❤️❤️

Love love how gentle but firm Maame is on my hair. The energy in this shop is always amazing. She always does an amazing job. The staff is friendly like family. Fun, loving and good energy atmosphere all around. Got my dreads repaired, new growth interlocked and styled.

Im from South Carolina. I come to New York called these group of individuals for a haircut. They told me they didn’t take kids … Because they have a barber who specializes in that. (make that make sense a barber is a barber). But since i been in New York I notice a lot of kids get haircuts & act out. My kid is 3 and will sit in the chair like he’s 35. Regardless if a child acts out or not. A CHILD HAS THE RIGHT TO FEEL GOOD AND IMPORTANT! & what is a barber who specializes in kids ??? Make it make sense . Not to mentioning i was told 3 different prices. Definitely wouldn’t recommend!
