I came in on New Year’s Eve right as they were about to close, and Sonya still took me in without hesitation. She stayed longer and did an amazing job, which I really appreciated. The haircut came out super clean the fade was perfectly blended and looked great. I was extremely satisfied and even got a lot of compliments afterward. Really grateful she was able to take me last minute. Highly recommend Sonya.

My go to barber is Sonya, she’s skillful and friendly. She gives me an excellent haircut, just the way I like it, clean and neat. I also bring my younger son who cuts hair with her, Sonya is great with kids…my son really listens to her and loves the haircut. Been going to the shop for about 7 years.

Sonya (brunette hair) is completely unqualified and should NOT be allowed to work on children or anyone. She blatantly ignored clear, repeated instructions and chose to do whatever she wanted instead. I corrected her multiple times while she was actively cutting, and she still could not follow basic directions. The result was one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever seen: spikes sticking up, uneven lengths, and a crooked, uneven hairline. This is not a “style difference” this is lack of skill and lack of competence. Because of her careless and unprofessional work, my son was crying and visibly upset, embarrassed by how he looked. No parent should have to console their child after a haircut because the barber couldn’t listen or cut evenly. This experience was genuinely upsetting and completely avoidable. Her inability to follow simple instructions shows beginner-level knowledge at best. 🚨 AVOID SONYA AT ALL COSTS. Do not book her. Do not take the risk especially with a child. Management needs to seriously reevaluate letting her take clients, because this level of work is unacceptable.

After my previous barber in the Rockaways started engaging in shady price-gouging behavior, I was looking for a new barber. I’ve passed by this place many times but didn’t think anything of but after making an appointment with Boris, this is a hidden gem of a barbershop with a high skill level of craftsmanship of excellence. Boris is calm, collective, and engages with his patrons to ensure they are happy with their haircut. You can tell he truly cares about his craftsmanship, and that you walk away happy after you leave his chair. Their prices are reasonable for the area; I paid $35 for a cut and shampoo, which is great because, as a poor college student, anytime I can save makes all the difference in the world. Boris is my new go-to barber. I highly recommend this shop and him if you are tired of getting jerked around by your current barber, and or want to save. You won’t regret coming here! Ten, ten, tens across the board.

Been coming here since I was in high school back in the mid 90’s and there’s a reason why. Simply the best barbershop in NY. Ask for Boris and you won’t regret it.

Max is a completely unskilled barber. He just cuts everything the same length, so at the back of my head around my caulick the hair ended up sticking up and out like a porcupine. Especially ridiculous for someone with coarse, straight hair like mine. Common sense for any barber that you should layer the hair longer towards that area so it doesn't stick up but this guy has no idea what he's doing, you can get the same haircut from a friend with no experience.

Took my son to get his haircut here! Max is the best and most patient barber. He was able to cut my sons hair with no problems. We will be coming back!

Every single barber at this place is amazing. I have been going to them for about 20 years and never had a single complaint. You can pick any one of them and you won’t be disappointed.

Best barber shop ever. I've been coming here since 1993, and have gotten to know these guys like family. Starting with big Mike, Benny, Boris, Ariel, all great guys. Who can forget Alina as well! Cutting my family's hair for over 20 years now! I learned how to cut my own hair because of them, and despite this, I still come out from Bridgeport CT to see them even though I moved out from NY nearly 5 years ago. I highly reccommend this shop, very hardworking and great people.
