Worth the 45 min travel. I call him Dr. Sal, because he fixes what other barbers fail to do. Normally You need a week out from a bad hair cut, at times longer, not here!

Sal and his team are excellent. Their new location is new and pristine yet takes you back in time for a classic barber feel and experience. Ernest cuts three generations of my family’s hair and there is no finer person I know.

Made an appointment on Friday for Monday. They even sent a text to confirm. Walked in didn’t even have to wait! Saw Chris. He was the best ! First time there he gave me one of the best hair cuts of my life! I wanted a dramatic fade, he took his time didn’t rush even stoped to show me how it was coming. Will def be going back ! Go ask for Chris today !

HIGHLY RECCOMEND! 5+ Stars. Been going here for 10+ years. Moved away from Amityville 7 years ago but still go back just for my cut every 2/3 weeks. Wont go anywhere else. Great people, great service.

Depends who you get. I had a rookie and got butchered; uneven and unsightly. The bad thing was that I could almost tell right away that he was very inexperienced. Not posting the name as that wouldn't be nice. They save the more seasoned vets for regulars. I might go back but will definitely ensure I get one of the seasoned barbers.

I've never met a receptionist so immature. I tried to set up an appointment for my friend and I thought there were no problems. 2 minutes later, the same receptionist called me back and said to me "I'm going to cancel his appointment. He can get his haircuts some place else". I wasn't given any explanation or reason. All I was given was an immature woman with an attitude. would not recommend to anyone

Proud to say that I was one of Sal's first customers when he opened his shop in 1999. It's still the only place I'll get my hair cut - and I travel from Bayport, too. Sal only employs the best barbers, who offer more than your average barber. It's very much a "men's salon" (though they have a couple of stylist that cut women's hair); you can get an A+ haircut, but I've also had my hair highlighted, colored, and straightened over the years. Shaves, beard trims, eyebrows - you'd be remiss not to stop at Sal's before going on that first date! Sal charges a little more than the rest of the crew if you want his services specifically, but you definitely get what you pay for. Terry comes with my high recommendation as well, though I believe he only works on Fridays now. Appointment recommended, but not necessary. Again - best barber shop /salon anywhere. Hands down. 👍👍

I love getting my hair cut and beard trimmed their. The staff there is really terrific and Joe Willey does a great job on me I’m extremely satisfied I’ve been going there for years now and I wouldn’t consider ever going someplace else. And dawn at reception is great at getting you in for a last minute appointment
