🔹 1. Equipment Quality: Clippers Matter Cheap mall barbers often use low-cost clippers ($20–$60 range) that: Dull quickly and pull hair from the follicle instead of slicing it clean. Cause irritation, razor bumps, and even ingrown hairs. Overheat and lack precision, meaning uneven fades and jagged edges. High-end barbers, on the other hand, use professional-grade tools ($200–$600 clippers and trimmers): Blades are sharper and finely aligned, giving a clean, precise cut. The motor runs smoother, so the clipper glides through the hair. This reduces trauma to the scalp and leaves no bumps or redness. They’re also regularly sanitized and oiled — another big hygiene plus. 🔹 2. Technique and Care Cheap mall cuts often feel rushed — a “next customer” mentality. Barbers don’t take the time to: Brush between passes Adjust blade pressure for different hair textures Use warm towels or pre-cut treatments Premium barbers focus on detail and comfort: They stretch the skin properly when trimming close. Use fade blending techniques that keep the scalp smooth. Often finish with antiseptic sprays, hot towels, and moisturizer. 🔹 3. Skin Health and Long-Term Effects When hair is pulled instead of cut, the follicle becomes inflamed — especially in coarse or curly hair types. That’s what leads to: Bumps (folliculitis) Ingrown hairs Patchy or uneven regrowth Regular visits to a professional barber can actually improve scalp health over time. 🔹 4. Environment and Value You also made a great point about location and pricing. If the barber is in a premium, safe neighborhood, the overhead (rent, licensing, sanitation standards) is higher. That usually aligns with: Cleaner environment Higher skill level More personalized service Safer products and sterilization protocols So, yes — his prices should be higher than a mall cut, and that difference is reflected in the quality, hygiene, and results you get. ✅ Summary Aspect Cheap Mall Haircut Premium Barber Clippers Low-end, dull, pull hair High-end, sharp, clean cut Technique Fast, careless Skilled, precise Skin Result Bumps, irritation Smooth, healthy Hygiene Minimal Professional sanitation Price Low Reflects quality & location Value Short-term Long-term scalp & style health

Walked in and walked right out.. $25 for a haircut 💇♂️...?? Why? (Plus I’m sure you wanna $5 tip on top of that so there’s $30) I can go to great clips a mile down the street and get a haircut for 15 bucks, ($10 if I have a coupon) how are you any better than them..??? And, I can easily afford a $100 haircut, I just didn't see anything in this barbershop worth $25... 👎

Anthony is hands down the best barber I’ve ever met. He’s warm, welcoming, and has a great sense of humor with both his colleagues and clients. I showed him a picture of a previous haircut, and while he complimented it, he suggested trying something new. I was open to his ideas, and he gave me a clean medium skin fade with a tidied-up side hairline. It’s honestly never looked so fresh—he totally nailed it. During the session, we got to know each other better, sharing life stories, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Anthony’s personable and friendly nature, combined with his clear passion for his craft, made the entire visit feel special. He truly cares about his business and treats his clients the way he’d want to be treated. Overall, he’s a great guy, and I highly recommend stopping by for a cut if you’re looking for a smooth experience.

This place cuts OK at best and it's a great vibe, but they charge too much for haircuts. Would have given this place a 5 star if it wasn't so pricey! At the end of my cut, the barber said,"It's $40 for the hair, $25 for the beard". $65 for a basic haircut. I dunno what it is with barbers in Vegas. Where I'm from ( New York) barbershop don't charge more than $40 for the whole haircut (beard included). I just can't mess with barbers who charge over $40 for a basic cut. I understand things may be hard for you barbers with inflation going on but news flash.... times are hard for EVERYONE. If I can't get a reasonable price for a haircut, it's really not that serious for me to ever go back. Just being honest. Thanks, but no thanks.

If money is an issues for you and you can’t afford the average price of a barbershop why didn’t you leave why did you stay? You could have gone to Supercuts and got Supercuts haircut for $20, $25. NEWS FLASH IF YOU CANT AFORD SOMETHING DONT BUY IT THEN GET UP SET? COMMON SENCE, Trust me no one is begging for you to come back, your doing us a favor by not, your better fit for great clips we want clients that can afford a professional haircut not clients looking for charity. Yes everyone is dealing with inflation but most MEN don’t go and cry about it online.

This is a Veteran owned business with excellent service and fantastic attention to detail. Anthony and his crew are friendly. I have been here several times and have been very happy with my haircuts and beard trims. I have had my hair and beard trimmed by Anthony and Randy, and they both are great! Walk-ins are accepted, but I recommend scheduling an appointment if you want Anthony to cut your hair. Typically closed on Sundays and Mondays, but Anthony will sometimes take some Monday appointments.

I came in to get a mohawk, and was disappointed with the result. I had a v undercut before coming and asked for the v to be part of the mohawk but he had taken up to the top of my head, the rest that was done is crooked. I've had great experiences here up until the other day when I had Randy do my hair. I was then charged $45 dollars for the cut.

Hello it’s Anthony usually I cut your hair and we have had a great experience over the years, I do remember you coming in and seeing Randy last , I remember making a comment about you changing it up and I asked if that’s what you wanted because usually we do something different and you said yes you wanted a Mohawk and it looks great, I wish you would of told me you weren’t happy and there was an issue, as far as the price the only way it would have been $45 is if you got a beard trim too, usually when your in my chair and I remove the hair from your face I don’t charge you because you been coming to me for a while and you don’t have much, so that’s probably why it was $45 total for hair and beard, if you could give me a call I would like to get you right or see what I could do to resolve your last experience you have my personal number from my card and the shop number.<br>I apologize for your last experience I’ll be waiting for your call

I've been taking my son to Anthony for about a year, and he is hands down the best. Amazing haircut. Anthony listens to what we want for our sons cut, and he does not disappoint. He takes great time and is very patient. I will continue to take my son to Anthony. Best barbershop ever!

I have been going to Anthony's barbershop for years and honestly he is the best barber I have found in Vegas and Cali. I leave happy every time I go there. He listens and cuts my hair perfectly to the style I want and even helps to improve it with his own twist. Today I took my soon to be 1 year old son to get his first haircut. Hands down Anthony made this an amazing experience. He was so patient and careful with him. He made sure to be as particular with my son's hair as he is with mine. Not only that but while we were getting his hair cut, a bee flew in and he snatched that guy right out of the air and got himself stung in the process all to protect my son from getting stung. I truly appreciate how great this barbershop and the people working there are. Any time my son got fussy, his coworker would try and help out to calm him down and make things better. This guy was so cool and such a big teddy bear. You guys are awesome and definitely have a life long customer. Thanks for everything!!!

This place is DOPE! I’m bald, so I went in for them to line up my beard and trim it, and for a shave. Chandler (I think that was his name) was AWESOME! He was professional and knew his stuff. He left me looking even more fly that I could’ve imagined. The owner was there and was probably the nicest dude I’ve ever met. They create an awesome environment and make you feel like you’re a king. The prices are very good, and make sure you tip these fellas, because their service is impeccable. Definitely the best barber shop I’ve been to, and I will go there exclusively from now on. You won’t regrets going to Anthony’s.
