Consistently great experiences with Denill - he is consultative and helpful while we come up with a plan for my cut. I have thick hair that’s difficult to style well but he makes sure I always leave looking good. First class!

There isn't a finer barber than Adam! From the moment I sat in his chair, I knew I was in good hands. I had a pretty specific vision in mind—growing my hair out, but I didn’t know how to get there without looking disheveled. Adam mapped out a plan that allowed me to grow my hair while keeping it looking sharp every step of the way. When it came time for my engagement, Adam worked his magic once again. He trimmed my hair just the right amount, giving it a clean, sharp look, and styled it perfectly for my proposal. I felt confident, fresh, and ready to pop the question—thanks to his attention to detail and skill. The barber shop itself is next-level. The place has this cool, laid-back yet stylish atmosphere that blends modern with vintage, creating the perfect spot to kick back and get a great cut. The staff is always welcoming, and you can tell they take pride in what they do. Adam never misses. Clean cuts, great attention to detail, and a great experience every time. The atmosphere in the shop is great, with excellent hospitality that makes you feel welcome from start to finish. If you’re looking for a reliable barber who knows what he’s doing, Adam is your guy.

Great relaxing environment as soon as you walk in. Always ready to provide refreshments and have you aware of any wait if occurs beyond your appointment time. I’m from out of town and so grateful they had an appointment available for me during the Christmas Holidays. Thank you so much for hearing out my story cutting my hair that I have grown for 5 years and set me up with a hair style I’m highly impressed to have entering the New Year. If your out of town or looking for a home barber hope definitely need to check them out. You will not be disappointed.

Virile is undoubtedly one of the most iconic barber shops in North Jersey, and it’s just so easy to see why. This Waldwick spot is their flagship and it’s filled with so much history. It’s so clear that a lot of time and love went into building that place, and the folks that walk out always look killer. And the SMELL of the products, Jesus Christ. It’s nice there’s a whole retail case of their products there for gifting. If they ever make a candle I will single-handedly pay their rent.

I always get my haircut by Adam and he never disappoints. Something about sipping on a whisky, in a classic leather barber chair, while getting your haircut checks all the boxes I need. If you want a quality and consistent haircut, Virile is for you.

First time going there. Had Denill and he did an awesome job with cutting my hair. He also did a wonderful job with shaping my beard. Very professional barbers and nice atmosphere.

Great place with an even better atmosphere. My barber Adam always does an amazing job and is great to chat with. I’ve been going to him for a while now and he never disappoints. The whole shop is welcoming, everyone’s friendly and professional. Highly recommend.

UPDATE - so just went back today for the first time since before our wonderful COVID vacation. Had once again the best hot towel shave. Sarah was great, personable, and very skilled. I highly recommend you try virile!! Original review- Just found this place recently but understand it's been open for about 7 years. Think old time barber shop crossed with man cave. Got a hot towel shave...best 45 mins of the month! You will get by far the best service and quality haircut or shave you can get anywhere.
