Took my son to get a haircut here. I had booked a time online with Josh in the morning. I arrived 5 minutes early to be respectful. When I had arrived only one person was working there and didn’t bother to say anything to me until I asked (Now 5 minutes after the appointment was scheduled for). He said he didn’t know where Josh was. He then called without a response so I waited an additional 15 minutes. When getting up to leave he claimed that Josh was now “on his way” and will be here “soon”. He want. When he finally arrives it was with food and 50 minutes after the appointment time was booked for. Not even an apology was given. Thank you for wasting my time. I will not be coming back.

Josh cut my son's hair and did a great job. It was our first visit and my son was nervous. Josh was so wonderful with him. He showed him pictures to make sure he would get the cut he wanted. We will definitely be back!

THE place to get your hair cut. Al and team are amazing and do great work. They always have a fun movie on to watch while waiting. It’s a cool atmosphere. Been going for years and don’t go anywhere else.

This is we’re I get my haircut and my boys haircuts as well. They are always on point and professional with availability and can squeeze you in last minute if you forgot there’s an event your attending that day and your hair looks terrible😅. Joshua takes care of every style I throw at him without a problem, the kid has skills. Everyone at the barbershop is great and passionate about what they do, only place I trust with my hair in the Fanwood/ Scotch plains area!

I’ve been coming to the owner, Alex, for over a decade now. The haircuts are always on point and he does one of the nicest fades as well. I always get compliments on the fade. I have even gotten cut by others in the shop and still, never disappointed. If you need a cut and you take the details seriously, the details barbershop won’t let you down

Been going to "the details Barbershop & Shave Parlor " now for a few years and I would and have highly recommended this spot to many people. The amount of professionalism and character the barbers demonstrate is outstanding and what you look for when you enter a babershop. My appointment times are usually 90% spot on time and my barber Alex is great with my toddler son when giving him a cut. The barbers accommodate kids or seniors in the shop with friendly music and movies, and there are always great engagement of conversations among sports, movies, and news!! Best shop i been to since moving to jersey 20 years ago!

The Details truly cares about the details. I've been a client of Alex's for years and not only does he portray remarkable skills, he provides professionalism and courtesy to your entire experience. He has created an incredibly welcoming environment in the barbershop and has been a staple in the local community. It's super easy to book/cancel appointments through the Booksy app, which is helpful with my schedule. I'll never be able to move away from the area because nobody else would ever be able to perform as perfect of a haircut as Alex and the rest of The Details staff!

For $35 the fade should look way cleaner, his line up is okay but slanted from the front. My son has been going here since we moved in the area and the quality of haircut he's received has been inconsistent. Its hit or miss. I like to support locally but we need consistency of quality. The photos show his fade from his cut today. A worker is worthy of the quality of work they do, this was not quality... Mike reached out and said he will give my son a free haircut and acknowledges the mess up and wants to make it right, initially. I reached out to him for the free haircut for my son but didn't respond yet. I'll update after and if he follows through. Update: Mike came through on his promise. He definitely redeemed himself.

Shop is awesome! True to the clientele and an all around great vibe. Staff is super friendly and considerate . Aesthetic is original and the chairs are super comfy! You’ve gotta have a good chair to sit in when getting a haircut! Would recommend booking an appointment ASAP! It’s all in the details here.
