Great Barber Shop with top quality barbers. Carmine is a true pro in hair cutting. He also has a great personality and enjoys conversing with customers on all subjects and highlights of everyday life. Could not ask for a better barber.

Owner's response

Thank you Bob! Carmine works every Tuesday!

Frank has been cutting me and my family's hair for years! He always knows what I want, gets me in-out of the chair quickly, and I'm always in a better mood afterward. Cannot recommend him enough! Also, the other barbers are very friendly and courteous. They are welcoming and really take time to remember their clients to give you that personal classic barbershop vibe.

Owner's response

Thank you for the review! See you again soon.

I have been going to Carmine's Barber Shop for many years. I have always enjoyed the friendly welcome, the great haircuts and the fun conversations while sitting in the chair. They can get busy sometimes, so call or stop by to see how many people are waiting. Or better yet, stop in and sign in, run an errand and come back and jump in a chair! It's well worth your time!

Owner's response

Thanks Pete!

Never going back. Waited over an hour, they let people sign in and leave and the come back and cut people who sit and wait. Terrible system in place never told me to sign in and came back. Others just left and didn’t want to wait. If Frankie G finds a new place to cut hair I will go to that new place.

Owner's response

(Brian walked out before getting a haircut. The wait was longer than an hour, because we only had 2 barbers) Never hurts to ask how long the wait is, especially when you are unfamiliar with how busy the other barbers here can be. Thank you for the star! <br>- Alex

I've been coming here since I was a kid. 40+ years later and still the best barbershop in the area. All the barbers possess amazing skills with cutting hair. Even though Carmine has been the 1 I usually get my cut from, I can say I'm comfortable with any of the barbers cutting my hair.

I always the pleasure of getting my hair cut by Alex or Frank and I couldn't be more satisfied. Their attention to detail and precision in every snip resulted in a hairstyle that exceeded my expectations. The comfortable atmosphere and friendly demeanor made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Alex and Frank for anyone seeking a skilled and personable barber. Plus their fades are on point.

Owner's response

Thank you Craig!!! Merry Christmas!

This was my first time at a Barber shop (crazy i know!) but this place could not have been more professional and friendlier! I was with Frankie G and he knew exactly what to do with my hair when I vaguely explained my vision and I was extremely satisfied with the end result! He made my first barber experience a special one! :) Will be coming back and highly, highly recommend! Such a good price (only 25$ for me) for a wonderful cut! I did a walk in and it was only about a 10 minute wait. Just remember its cash only!!

Customer Experience not what it used to be. Been going to Carmine’s for roughly 37 years. I haven’t lived in town for the last 20 years, but still went back regularly, until now. Arrived this past Thursday at 6:30 (closing time is 7). Walked in and said hello to Alex (owner). Someone jumped in Frank’s chair, so all 3 chairs have someone getting cut, but no one waiting. After saying hello Alex tells me Tony (cuts my hair of the time) is leaving after this customer. I understand, Tony doesn’t live close by. I ask Alex if he’ll cut one more and he tells me he’s done also. I get it if I walked in the door at 6:50, but it was 6:30. The reason to go to a shop like this and not some franchise is the experience and the connection with people. When the experience is gone, so am I. Went to Uncle Frank’s in Park Ridge. Friendly guys and a nice cut.

Took my 2 boys for haircuts. I've been holding off for about 6 months due to COVID but finally decided to do it. I'm glad we went to Carmine's! They have a system to keep everyone safe. Add your name to the sign-up sheet at the back door and wait outside or in your car to be called to prevent too many people in the barber shop at one time. Both my boys' cuts came out very well and everyone in the shop is so nice and welcoming. On top of the great haircuts, they went above and beyond for me. My car battery died after we left the shop and it was taking me a while to find roadside assistance that would come out. The younger barber (I wish I knew his name!) came out to check on me. He brought his car around and gave me a jump start so that we could get going. Really good people at Carmine's!
