Love that Big Wave Barbershop exists in Red Bank! Great location! Joe and Kristina are the best. Really happy they set up their own shop. Good cuts, good prices, and good conversation. Also bonus points for all the Karate Kid memorabilia on the walls. Check em out for sure.

I’ve been going to Alex at Big Wave Barbershop on Monmouth Street in Red Bank every single week, and I can honestly say he’s the best. Alex is consistent, detail-oriented, and always makes sure the cut is exactly how I want it. Whether it’s a clean fade, beard trim, or just keeping things tight week to week, he never misses. The shop has a great vibe, super professional, and you can tell Alex really takes pride in his work. If you’re in the Red Bank area and need a reliable barber, I highly recommend booking with him. I have been going to Joe to get my haircut for the last few years because he has the experience and is consistent. When Joe opened up his own barber shop in Red Bank, there wasn’t a question that I would drive the extra time to continue to go to him. The place is clean, cool, and has its own vibe right in the middle of Red Bank. Go to the Dublin house after a fresh cut or just walk around town. What’s cool about here is that they also do women’s hair upstairs too (ask for Kristina). An all in one stop shop place. If you’re looking for someone to listen to what you’re looking for and be consistent - take a trip over to Big Wave.

We had been searching for so long to find someone who could give my son a proper haircut (he’s 4) — and Joe exceeded every expectation. He was patient, kind, and truly great with kids. Highly recommend! Brought my two young boys in for kids cuts and even though it is definitely a barbershop tailored to adults, they had the perfect set up for my kids, turning on paw patrol right away and moving quickly even as they moved around. My little one was not thrilled about getting his haircut and Alex was patient and still managed to give him a great cut! For my older son, they gave him the royal treatment (even though he’s only 4!) making him feel like a little man, and he’s been talking about his experience ever since. High quality cuts, great location, lovely people and great value.

I've been looking for a new place to get a quality haircut for, what seems like, years at this point. I took a chance on Big Wave randomly one day because I desperately needed a cut and I'm really glad I did. Joseph was able to take me last second and he gave me the best cut I've had since I can remember. You can tell he really cares about his craft and the customer experience (the latter isn't really something I look for/care about but thought it was worth noting). Glad to have finally found my spot.

I can’t say enough good things about this barbershop! They are amazing with kids & adults alike. Alex, Kristina, & Joe are all excellent! My son is 9 & gets so many compliments on how “cool” his hair cut is! My 4 yr old daughter has very thin hair & Kristina gave her a bob that transformed her hair. Joe cuts my husbands hair & it’s the best cut he’s had in years.! Best of all - the staff is so friendly & fun to talk with! HIGHLY recommend!!
