I want to give a shout out to Oniel for the kind service provided to my son! Although haircuts aren’t my 8 year olds favorite thing, Oniel made my son feel comfortable and by the end of the cut he was smiling and happy! 100% recommend!!! Go check him out!

Absolutely love Royal Barbershop in Raritan! Oniel is an amazing barber — consistent, talented, and always makes sure the cut is perfect. My kids actually look forward to coming here because the entire staff is so friendly and welcoming, and the PS5 while they wait is a huge bonus! The barbershop is always very clean and well-maintained, which we really appreciate. Oniel is our go-to barber and we wouldn’t go anywhere else, but honestly all of the barbers here do a great job too. Highly recommend Royal Barbershop if you’re looking for quality cuts and a great atmosphere for both adults and kids!

If you’re hitting Royal Barbershop, ask for Oniel. No debate. His cuts are sharp, precise, and built to last. Clean lines, flawless blends, and he actually knows what fits your face, not just whatever’s trending. He takes his time and doesn’t miss details. Real professionalism, real skill. You leave looking right and feeling even better. Once Oniel cuts your hair, switching barbers isn’t an option. Highly recommended. 💈🔥

One of the best barbershops I’ve been to, and most definitely around town. Oniel has always taken great care of my haircuts. You won’t see better fades in the Tri-State area. I definitely recommend this barbershop and his cuts

Just got my haircut from here today for the first time. The cut was good. It wasn't really at all what I asked for. For example, I asked for maybe half an inch off the top and he ended up taking off about 2 inches. In the end, I ended up liking what he did so that is a moot point. However, the reason I am giving 2 stars is a big one. The barber's station was FILTHY. There was hair everywhere, WAY more than what would be expected at a barber shop. Obviously there will be hair on the counters. But it looked as though it had not been swept all day. But the worst part for me was the fact that there was hair on the comb he used to comb my hair. He wiped it off with his hand before he used it but that's it. He didn't wash it off and it looked like it was never put in barbicide. It honestly made me want to shower as soon as I got home, which is a shame because the end result of the cut was actually good after he used some product to style it in a way that really suited my head. I don't like giving businesses low ratings especially when the services rendered were actually good. But I could not in good conscience not mention this. I wouldn't say to not use this barber. But I will caution someone to check the cleanliness of the station before proceeding with the haircut.

He did not notice any sanitation issues at the time, but he did acknowledge that the shop was extremely busy that day with back-to-back clients, which may have led to his station not being refreshed as thoroughly as it should have been between appointments.
