I truly wish to never come here again after my haircut here. I did not know it was possible to cut hair this poorly. I’m pretty sure my barbers name was John and after looking at the reference photo for my hair, he cut it in a way that makes me look unrecognizable for all the wrong reasons. I’m embarrassed to step out in public and have to have my hood up at all times. Nice going Shilla. Way to mess up my next few months.

I have gone to a couple salons in the area and this location is by far the best overall experience. I highly recommend Evan as he is consistent, attentive and always takes the time to make you look your best.

I've been coming here for a few months now, although I've lived in Leonia / Pal Park / Fort Lee area since childhood. Among all the barbers I've known since growing up here, my favorite barber of all-time is John at Shilla Men's Hair Salon. He is a kind soul and a master stylist whom I'd highly recommend.

I wish I could give the person who cut my hair less than a zero star if I could. Let me know why the back of my hair was crooked like an acute triangle, and after she fixed it, she gave me a bald spot. Like, how is that any better? I think I would look better if I got a bowl and cut my hair. WOW, my $40 with tip just went down the drain, I could've used that for food smh.

Whenever I go to Shila, I always ask for Eric, and he never disappoints me. The best barber all the time. All of the employees who work there are so nice and respectful. I'll definitely recommend you guys to get a haircut from Eric :)

Great experience getting haircuts here for me and my boys. Bumkey normally cuts my hair and he spends a lot of time and care. The result is always fantastic. Eric and Evan normally handle my boys' (7 and 9) hair and they always end up looking great afterwards. The waiting area and the hair wash areas are all clean and tended to. Highly recommend coming here. Making an appointment ahead of time is definitely helpful and will help you save time.

Haircut was fine. Nothing wrong with the hairdresser. The problem is with false advertisement. On the phone, they mentioned that the haircut is $35, but they charged me $40. They also advertised a 10% discount for students, but said it doesn't apply to me because I'm not in middle school. All of the advertisements only mentioned students, not an age range, and the photos they used were all of grown men. Had I known the haircut is $40 and the discount doesn't apply ahead of time, I would have not gone. Don't know what changed, used to go here in the past, but can't recommend anymore.

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Evan for over a year now, and I’m always really happy with the results. I’ve had both long and short styles, and he’s been great at helping me figure out what works best and how to style it. He always listens to understand what I'm looking for and makes sure to meet and exceed my expectations. Evan also knows a ton about hair care and has recommended some great products that I now use regularly. He’s very detail-oriented and has been super helpful when it comes to making sure I achieve the look that I'm going for!

If you're looking for a very qualified and exceptional barber, I highly, highly recommend Bumkey! I've had many haircuts with him and have always been very satisfied with the results. I usually ask for a style or bring a picture, and during the haircut, I appreciate being able to pause to discuss things like length and style. Bumkey has great suggestions and recommendations when it comes to hair. He really knows what he is doing and I can trust his judgement. The customer experience is always great, very professional and comfortable. Looking forward to my next visit!

Highly recommend Evan for his exceptional bleaching and coloring skills!! Recently went for a pink hair-2 bleach sessions & a color- and I was sooo happy w the outcome w less damage and evenly saturated color. During the consultation, Evan thoroughly explained the process and showed me a bunch of hair swatches he's bleached and colored which showed me how much time and efforts he’s put into leveling up his skills. As someone w a lot of hair color histories/experiences, I was already aware of the downsides of bleaching hair, especially on a not virgin hair like mine. I wouldn't say my hair wasn't damaged at all after bleaching but it definitely survived way better and was bleached out evenly & super light which was impressive. It definitely dried my hair especially the ends which is what bleach will do to any hair, but I was very impressed bc I had no split ends or hair breaking excessively at the end of everything(even now which is a little past 1wk & 3 washes). The whole process took us about 4+ hours. If you are looking to do some fun colors/bleach w less damage, you should def try Evan :) (also check him out on ig @saturableach11) The photos show before & after.
