Update 12/14/2024: Ever since my daughter and I went to Yumi for our hair years ago, we have been sticking with her and recommending a lot of friends. My hair style usually lasted almost one year! Have always been very satisfied with Yumi’s work! My past review: A friend of mine recommended Yumi （小君） for my daughter's hair dying. So it's the first time we came here. Upon entering the barber shop, I immediately liked the interior as it's very clean without odor, which is the priority for me to consider because my daughter is very sensitive to environment. I won't want my daughter to stay in an odorous place for 3-4 hours no matter what. And the barber shop has a comfy setting that would make you feel like home. So I dropped my daughter and just left. When it's done, I came back to pick her up. Then I saw my daughter's hair satisfactorily transformed. My daughter loves it and I do, too. When talking with her while waiting for her to finish, Yumi told me that it usually took a long time to do girls’ hair, so she would schedule appointments for girls/ladies at 3:00pm after business hours on Saturdays, or some other slower time during work days. I learned that Yumi used to work in /own a hair salon in Philly for 23 years. Although she has only moved to Mt. Holly for 2 years, she has got quite many loyal customers' referrals and business has been quite good. Later my daughter told me that Yumi was very nice , patient, and communicative, which made the hours going pleasantly. Now Yumi has received another two loyal customers: my daughter and me! I would highly recommend Yumi to anyone! BTW, it's Cash Only.

I've been there three times. My wife has been several times. Yumi has done my hair twice, pretty good, but Jennay, (my apologies if I have spelled either of your names wrong) has the touch for my particular hair type. But when you arrive, your choice isn't always available. But all-in-all, my wife and I feel comfortable there! We look forward to returning.

The owner Yumi did a very great job cutting my son's hair. She is friendly and professional. The store is clean and has a new update. I highly recommend to try this Barber shop. Yumi also can do women's hair too!

Amazing place, underrated, the women know how to give simple haircuts but also more complicated ones. My little brother and I get our hair cut here. They do a great job just make sure you bring cash.

I had just retired from 39 years in the military. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my hair and beard. The girls at Frank's totally jumped into it and gave me the style I deserve. Thank you!! I will be coming back!

I've had both barbers here and they both did a great job on my hair and lining up my beard. Price was a little high, but I'm sure times are tough with multiple flashier competitors around and no doubt from many men learning to cut their own hair during quarantine, so I get it. Would definitely recommend.
