Jaime is the best barber in New Jersey hands down. He's been cutting my hair for 8 years now. Has always been respectful of my time and has provided excellent haircuts. I get compliments all the time thanks to him. Couldn't recommend any barber more than him!

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I am a former customer of Jaime and went to him for years. I'll start with the positive, he does a decent haircut. Even though my hair is kept very short, I have a beard and he shapes it nicely and knows how to use a straight razor. I maintained an 8am appointment, every other week for years. Long before Jaime transitioned to the booking app, it was clockwork, until one day Jaime disregarded my standing appointment in favor of someone else. So as a way to maintain my service, I began using the app, no problem. Next, the issue of paying with a debit card. Jaime has been charging a 5% premium to use a debit card, which is not only exorbitant but not allowed by banks because a debit card is the SAME as cash. I expressed my opinion to him, but he continued to charge the fee. As a custom, I believe that it's inappropriate to give gratuities to business owners. However, when I started going to him, I was not aware that he was the owner so I would tip an additional 18% on top of the fee. I would continue to tip after I discovered he was the owner. It continued that way for a while after he was told about the improperness of the fee he was charging. When I spoke with about it again, he said that he felt the fee was proper, so I deducted it from the tip I would add. Regardless, another example of the owner of the business taking advantage. My biggest issue with Jaime, by far, is the fact that he does not respect his customer's time. I had the 8am appointment for years. There was not one time that he was on-time for the appointment EVER. He would roll in, right out of bed and while I would sit in his chair wasting my time waiting for him, he would take his time to wash and comb his hair. He would routinely start my hair cut 15 minutes after my appointment. Then, I had to sit in his chair with the smell dried toothpaste and the stink of someone that just rolled out of bed, all within close proximity. Gross. My most recent and last appointment was a on Saturday February 17th at 8am. I had a hard appointment at 9am for which I could not be late. Yet, 8am, no Jaime, 8:10, no Jaime. I received a text from Jaime that he would be later than usual. Blaming his issue on car problems, not his consistent selfish irresponsibility or disrespect of my time. When he finally did arrive at 8:25, I told him I was annoyed, and I had another appointment that I could not be late for. Oh, the honor he bestowed on me, that he didn't take his sweet time washing his hair. He put the cape on me to start my cut, a HALF HOUR after my appointment. He insisted on trying to give me his excuse and I told him, I wasn't interested in his excuse, and I just wanted to get to my next appointment. All at once, he took the cape off me and threatened not to cut my hair. So, I had to plead with him to stop acting like a petulant child and provide the service for which I was paying and wasting my time. What a disgrace. If you're late once or twice, ok. But, when you are late every time, what are you saying to your customers? You're saying that you don't give a damn about them. There's more than enough barbers in Hackensack, I suggest you look for another.

The Barbers leave you sitting in the chair for up to 10-15 minutes half cutting your hair without offering you the service for which you are paying, this happens because The Barbers abandon their Client to carry out matters unrelated to their work, and What's worse is that they even leave the premises for the aforementioned time, to the parking lot or to their homes. It seems to me a lack of respect for their client and for everyone's time. What I did was get up and leave full of beauty and with the cut halfway done this in the face of something not logical from where you see it. Think twice before visiting them, unless you have all day.👎

Ask for Jaime to give you a haircut. He’s a very cool and nice guy who’s very understanding about how you want your hair and he’ll make sure you leave the barbershop looking immaculate! Also, the establishment is very cleaning and every barber cleans their equipment.

The Barbershop is always clean and the Barber's are very accommodating. There's a Barber there by the name of Chabla that has been cutting my hair for five years. To me he's one of the best Barber's there. I also would like to say, from my observation, all the Barber's there are doing a great job with their customers.

Jaime is my third and final barber since moving to The Sack. He has been cutting my hair for over 3 years, and I can’t imagine going any place else. Always accommodating, polite, jovial and most importantly talented! Being of Afro-Caribbean decent, he does a fantastic job in a predominantly Hispanic oriented shop. You won’t be disappointed.

They do great haircuts I’ve been getting my haircuts by Charlie and Jaime for 10 years, never had a problem. They take all the precautions during these COVID times. They take customer service to the next level you do feel appreciated when you’re here.

The only reason for my biweekly hair session is due to the impeccable skills of this joint's premiere stylist extraordinaire, Mr. Cesar. He not only gets to know his customers personally, but intimates himself with their hair. He tunes to the "ideal" style that would suit the face and facial structure of his customers. Of course he takes into consideration the styling desires of the customer, but he recommends what would "work" best for each customer. In addition to his skills as a barber he is a friendly, humorous and genuinely humble dude who likes to engage his customers as a friend as well. A pleasant and affable disposition he emotes. I would suggest that all new patrons get at least one styling session with Cesar and see for themselves if what I have opined here is what they have experienced. Get your fresh cut on and go profile it after a session at Jaime and Carlo's Barbershop. But....ask for "5 Star Cesar" to get the job done right.

Excellent Customer Service & this place is SPOTLESS!!! I called, booked an appointment for same day for 20 min later. When I arrived Gloria had started another customer & explained I had an appointment and would finish her as soon as I was done; it appeared she explained beforehand she may have to stop due to a previous booking. Gloria took her time, paid attention to detail and did an excellent job with my spa pedicure. I will admit I'm used to a bit more but for $20 it was a great deal, I got my monies worth and I was extremely happy with the results. Gloria is the best & I will definitely be a repeat customer!!!
