Love coming here, I am a repeat customer for 2 years now. Eva, Carla, and family are good company—they are always happy to see you and remember you. This place makes you feel like family. My hair is thinning but they know how to manage my hair and make my significant other happy. Definitely coming here for a cut before I get married! *update* came to the shop the day before my wedding and what a treat! Added photo from my wedding day hair/beard. Come here for all special events! Support local, forget the big box hair places!

I’ve come here a few times and I’ve consistently gotten great service and great prices. Generally I won’t leave a review until I’ve utilized that business more than twice because I want to be certain of their consistency. Eva’s decades of experience is self evident and she’s got a jovial personality as a bonus. After 3 great visits, this is my new go to for haircuts & styling.

I have been coming here for over a decade and only have positive things to say. This is the best place to get a haircut in the area, plain and simple. All of the staff is friendly, the prices are very reasonable, and I always leave satisfied. I highly recommend this location. You will walk away with a great haircut!

I’ve been coming here since I was 8 years old. Eva is family to me and the rest of my family. She is so attentive and always gives the best care cuts at great prices. No where else in the area compares to the quality of haircut and price that you get here. I have been going to Ruben’s barbershop for 2-3 years now and would never go anywhere else. The service is always so friendly, especially Eva, she is always there with a smile and an open ear. She is always such a delight to talk to and always has gives me a good haircut. It’s good to have someone close by knows how to style my hair type. I am thinking about trying new things with my hair and trust them help me with my journey.

I have been coming to Eva and Rubens Barbershop for close to 7 or 8 years and never once had a bad experience. Eva is one of the most kind and caring people I have ever met and I have not hesitated to share the majority of my life’s most important moments with her in that barbershop. When I leave for college, I never cheat on Eva and always wait to come back home to get a haircut handcrafted with love. I love being greeted by such a warm, humorous family atmosphere. Ruben’s is a community staple of Gillette and the greater Longhill/Berkeley Heights community and will always hold a special place in my heart.

I have been getting my haircut by Eva for 12. She is an amazing barber and an awesome person. Her shop is always clean and she is always welcoming. Over the twelve years I have been going to Eva, she has hardly raised her prices. She offers the best value for a haircut in the area by a longshot.
