Needed a last minute haircut. I had seen the great reviews of The Handsome Man Barber Shop but could never grab a last second online appointment as they are always booked. Today, I got lucky and grabbed it. Upon my arrival, all three chairs were full, however, the owner Buddy acknowledged me, by name, and then continued his work. Every 5 minutes, he would check with me to assure that they would be with me in a few minutes. No problem. I watched TV from one of the comfortable chairs and observed how the staff here took their time cutting hair with precision. You cannot rush perfection. Oscar ended up cutting my hair after he asked me how I wanted it. He took great care and I observed how he takes great pride in his work. The result was an excellent styled hair experience from a true professional. Buddy displayed a true customer satisfaction demeanor that is not that common. I left with a great feeling that I found my new go to barber shop owned and operated by the best in the business. The reviews are accurate, The Handsome Man is a complete experience worth trying.

Great experience! I brought my Dad for a cut and a shave,services were excellent. Staff provided a memorable experience for him and went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable. He left feeling wonderful. We will definitely be back. Thanks!

Fantastic shop, no notes. Everyone was very welcoming, the whole place is super clean and well appointed. It’s located in a convenient small plaza with plenty of parking. Joe gave a great cut, and the online booking was incredibly user friendly. I have tried out four or five different shops in the area over the past few months and after experiencing this place today, I won’t be going anywhere else in the future. 10/10

Started coming here after COVID lockdowns. 110% hands down best place to get a haircut. They’re always precise and accurate and get my hair done right. Not 1 single issue. And they cut my toddler’s hair without issue! Only regret is not coming here sooner!!

The BEST BARBERSHOP I've ever experienced, and the ONLY barbershop I've ever written a Google review for! The Guys Buddy and Oscar are truly wonderful gentlemen who make you feel like family (the part of the family you love and enjoy being around), while also being professional, experienced and highly skilled barbers. I've gotten haircuts from both guys, and I loved the skill, attention to detail and, of course, the result! You won't find a better duo than these two! The Banter By far, the best part of going to The Handsome Man is the banter with Buddy and other customers in the shop. It's hard to explain, but it's something like Cheers meets Howard Stern meets Entourage (all depending on the day, time and crowd). Admittedly, on occasion I'll pop into the shop even when I don't have an appointment, just to get my banter fix and to make sure Buddy is (mostly) behaving (or misbehaving, as the case may be). It's a heck of a lot more effective and less expensive than antidepressants or self-medicating! However, please be aware that side effects may include extreme laughter, improved mood, and moderate chance of wetting oneself. Just don't take it personally when you see Buddy and the next client getting into some equally great banter--Buddy is a man of the people and delivers laughter and exceptional cuts equally and dutifully to all. I truly believe serving the community is Buddy's calling, and even when he scales The Handsome Man into two, three, four hundred, five thousand shops around the world, I wouldn't be surprised if Buddy is still manning a chair in at least one of those shops (albeit on a slightly lighter schedule than at present--what a freaking work horse he is!). The Service Service is second to none at The Handsome Man. I regularly see Buddy doing everything he can to fit folks in for appointments, and I myself have had to request some last-minute rescheduling a couple of times and Buddy is always understanding, patient and finds a way to ensure I'm looking fresh before an important event. When you walk in the shop, Buddy and Oscar always greet you with a smile and a witty comment, letting you know you're in for a great time (see above, The Banter) and a great cut (see above, The Guys). The Atmosphere Buddy has done an excellent job creating a shop that looks clean and professional while also has the feel of a place where you can escape from the craziness of life for a little while, relax on the comfy leather chairs, watch the game (or match, given Buddy's obsession with tennis), grab a beverage, and even play a game of chess before or after getting an amazing cut. Afterward, you'll walk out a truly Handsome Man (good looks recommended but not required), with a smile on your face and a little pep in your step, fully recharged and ready to take on the rest of your day. The Bottomline Bottomline, if you live within an hour of The Handsome Man in Freehold, NJ just off Route 9, make an appointment, come on by the BEST BARBERSHOP around, and experience firsthand the wonder that is THE HANDSOME MAN!

Recently moved to Freehold & was looking for a barbershop. Luckily, I stumbled upon this one. Buddy is an outstanding barber with multiple years of experience. Extremely talented, professional, passionate and polite. You never feel rushed & he actually takes his time cutting your hair. Would highly recommend this barbershop to anyone!

I've gone to Oscar for two haircuts now and he's done a fantastic job each time. The shop has a great atmosphere and both Buddy and Oscar are quality guys. When I showed up today and found out I had accidentally scheduled my appointment for the following week, they had me covered and were able to squeeze me in. If you're searching for a great barbershop with an even better staff, check these guys out!

I'm not big on writing reviews but I couldn't wait to write this one. Usually setting up a haircut appointment is always a chore. Not this time. Had my haircut Saturday morning with Brian. He was fantastic. When I got home my wife said it was the best haircut I ever had. As far as the whole experience goes, it was amazing. The shop was clean, comfortable, and very inviting. Buddy the Owner was extremely friendly and polite. An Absolute professional. Of course the refreshments were a nice touch. Can't wait to set up my next appointment. First of all, Buddy is the coolest barber around. He’s got a great personality, he’s funny, and extremely good at his job. The shop is clean, it’s modern, and comfortable. The atmosphere is always positive and I never leave without laughing and enjoying my time spent in the chair. I typically joke with Buddy that I should be paying him extra for the therapy sessions we have during my cuts, as I enjoy bouncing ideas or situations off of him and getting his opinion. He’s a smart guy, very insightful. His work is extremely precise and you can tell he takes pride in his work and strives for perfection. His lines are neat, his fades are awesome, he does not rush, and I have never left with a suboptimal cut. Overall, I would highly recommend this shop, as all 3 of the barbers are very good. Buddy is my guy, but Blake and Brian are also cool dudes and both very good at what they do. You will leave this shop looking good, AND feeling good.

I was visiting NJ and found this shop. It was very nice and clean shop and I believe Blake did my hair and beard. He was very professional and did a great job lining up the beard and also did a great job cutting hair. Did exactly what i asked. Will definitely go here again if i am in the area. Keep up the good work guys.
