The absolute worst experience ever. I made the appointment and was refused service because it was not in the app. Even though, I showed a debit on my credit card. The barber was rude. Raised his voice and wouldn’t even contemplate the fact that it could be a system delay. I had booked the appointment an hour before. Haircuts are $10, now I see why. Ridiculous behavior from the owner.

This is such a scam barbershop I went there for a haircut and he literally ruined my hair so badly I could do it better myself at home, I asked to fix it and he said it will grow up in three days. There’s plenty of videos in YouTube where he can learn. Do yourself a favor an avoid this place.

Walked in at 3 o’clock guy said I needed an appointment. No one was even in the building. I offered to pay double he said no appointments only will never go to this liberal barbershop anymore. If you want a good haircut go to Tim’s barbershop around the corner.

I used to come here for almost 2 years now. I always selected John as my barber and every time had a great experience. I hope John is doing okay, this week there were only appointments from Pol and I selected 5pm appointment. I was there at shop by 4:45pm and he was about to leave in his car. He apologized “impolitely” and offered me $20 bucks as inconvenience fee, which I took due to his inappropriate behavior and the fact that I had to come here all the way from University city just for the haircut. Very unprofessional behavior, probably because John is not there anymore.

If you’re looking for an old school barber shop, look no further. Great haircut, and a down to earth price. Was my first time using their services, will be using their services again. And would recommend them highly. Pol was my Barber, very friendly and polite and knew what he was doing. You can’t ask for more than that.

So I just wanted an okay haircut. I already didn’t ask for much coming there. The last time I went there was so bad I was going to pharmacy stores to find ways to cover it up. It was genuinely that bad. yes it was that bad. We are talking gave a bald spot and also shaved off a sliver of the hair while picking up the phone and then trying to cut your hair while cussing out the clientele horrific, so there was a random shaved bald spot portion around the trimmed area. He didn’t show the mirror back view afterwards which was for a reason as I found afterwards at home. I would share photos of how horrible but I deleted them because they are really that bad. This isn’t a no frills place this is a never go here place after that. The fact he didn’t show the mirror back view because he knew how horrible it looked means they’re liars/scammers on top of bad barbers.

You need an appointment Pavel did a great job. The location might have changed over the years, but I've been getting my haircut at Soulard since I was a kid. I love the nostalgia of this neighborhood and the barber shop.

If you're looking for anything more advanced than a buzz cut, I recommend going elsewhere. I just moved to the area and was looking for a new barber. I asked for a 1/4" off the top and a fade from zero to 1 1/2 on the sides. Pretty straightforward, or so I thought. Pol, my barber, proceeded to use clippers on the top and a single guard on the side. When I pointed this out to him, he rolled his eyes and said, "Don't worry. You like." Well, I don't like. And I won't be coming back.

DO NOT GO HERE!! Worst haircut I’ve ever had in my life. If you want a military cut down to your scalp with no blending then this is perfect. It is $10 bucks and the quality is right on par. Awful, Awful, Awful.

Should call this place Comanche's, because they are taking scalps. Me and a colleague came here to get a haircut because we were working long hours for the last month, and as we are from out of town this place popped up on google so we thought we would give it a try. Price was great.....but now I see why. They barber doesn't take direction, or criticism I might add, very well at all. He failed to blend the back of my hair so it looked like a bowl cut. I told him it needed to be blended and he was like "this is your hair". He also went SUPER high on my buddies ears. The blending can be forgiven but height he went up on the ears was just awful. I felt so bad for my friend. Bottom line, if you want a barbers choice haircut or a shaved head this might be your place. I won't come back here again
