Excellent! I am from out of State, and Owner (Shack) and the staff were extremely friendly and created a welcoming atmosphere for me! Not to mention the barber skill level was top tier! If I lived in STL, I would be here every week!

I was visiting from out of town for a wedding and forgot my hair holding cream, so I stopped by Shack’s Barber Shop to see if they sold any. They didn’t have any for sale, but I was offered some on hand. I tried to pay, but they wouldn’t take it. Thanks for the graciousness and courtesy you showed me. I truly appreciate it.

Our first time coming in to the shop. The owners and others barber's were very friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. Jaylen is extremely professional very knowledgeable about hair and listens to what the client is asking for. He’s now my fiancé new barber.

This is the best black owned barbershop in all of St. Louis City, over 70 years of business is unheard of!. No matter what chair you sit in you’ll always leave refreshed, and sharp! Music choices aren’t too bad either while you wait.

Jaylan was amazing. I dont trust many to touch my hair or beard and was looking for weeks for a good barber. Took a chance and since they take walk ins(which is impossible to find) I figured I'd give them a try. Atmosphere was cool. Got me sat down pretty quick and good conversation and recommendations for someone who isn't from the area. My hair looks great. My beard is clean. 10/10 and will definitely be back.

These guys are the best of the best in for whatever service you need. Been a repeat customer for months and they continue to exceed expectations. Authentic and genuine gentlemen across the entire shop. There's a reason Ozzie Smith comes to the shop y'all! Special thanks to Jay Shack for always making time to thoroughly make sure I walk out looking the freshest!

Wasn't sure what to expect, but Jay went out of his way to be polite to an obvious out of towner. Asked him to give me the Richard Ashcroft cut by cleaning up the back. I'm happy. Recommended for anyone staying at Union Station.

This was a most amazing experience. I was referred to this Barber by people at the hospital while visiting my family member. This father and son operation was on point. Jaylan, the son was attentive to details and gave me very good service. I liked the service so much that I scheduled my relative for a haircut at the hospital. He went to the hospital and gave my relative excellent service as well. This barber shop is one is one of St Louis's hidden gems. It's professional and personable. When you need the services of barber go there and treat yourself. You will not be disappointed.

First and foremost the wait was minimal, the atmosphere was friendly and nice. Next the shop was clean and well kept , not to mention shack himself gave me a good quality cut for a good quality price. Im looking forward to going back .

I love this place. I've been getting my hair done by Leah for 6 years and couldn't be happier. Great service and great prices. I now take my son to have his hair cut by Keith and am very happy with that as well. He's great with kids and my son always looks good. They keep it friendly and professional making it a welcoming environment.
