I just moved here acrossed the street and walked in for a haircut. There were zero customers. There were two barbers. And they said that they could not help me if I didn’t make an appointment online. They said they did not have time for an appointment. Their website says they accept walk-ins. Obviously they do not, even when there are no customers there.

I’ve been going to Layne now for several months. I usually charge it up a bit every time and he always listens and delivers. The vibes at Floyd’s are top notch. Booking is east and I rarely have to wait.

Cecily at this location is the most talented person that has ever touched my hair. I highly recommend you book with her. She has given me the best haircuts I have ever had and she is so fun to chat with! After many years of haircuts with different people, I have found an absolute gem here at the North Loop Floyd’s. Been to all the Floyd’s locations in the cities over the last 5 years, often times going out of my way to see a couple specific stylists (shoutout to Jess and Temte between Uptown and Chan). Layne at the North Loop barbershop has been by and far the best experience with the brand and has a loyal customer in me. Very highly detailed with any level of fade & goes above and beyond to make sure we’re happy with even the smallest of details. Keep it up brother - appreciate you!

First Visit with Cecily – I’ll Definitely Be Back I just had my first haircut with Cecily, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From the moment I sat down, it was clear she’s a total professional—skilled, confident, and focused on making sure I got exactly what I wanted. She took the time to ask the right questions, made great suggestions, and delivered a cut that looks and feels great. On top of that, Cecily has an easygoing, genuine way about her that made the whole experience feel relaxed and comfortable. It’s obvious she truly cares about her clients. The shop itself has a great vibe—clean, stylish, and modern with a bit of an edge that makes it feel unique without being over the top. Based on this last visit, I can confidently say I’ll be back. Highly recommend giving Cecily a try.

Tim at the North Loop location is awesome. He takes his time to make sure every part of my hair transformation is too my liking. I’m really picky so I appreciate his attention to detail. He also helped me pick out two new hair products, one that I knew I needed and one that sorta came out of left field. I’m really happy with both! Thanks Tim for all you do to make the Floyd’s experience 5star fabulous!

5/5 – Best Cut and Vibe in Town! Floyd’s 99 Barbershop completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the energy was upbeat, the staff was welcoming, and the vibe was just cool—like a mix between a classic barbershop and a modern rock venue. Big shoutout to **Cecily P**, who absolutely crushed it. She was professional, easy to talk to, and really took the time to understand what I wanted. The cut was sharp, clean, and easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Cecily’s attention to detail was next level—from the fade to the neckline, everything was on point. She even offered some great product tips without making it feel like a sales pitch. The place is clean, the playlist is always on fire, and the whole experience just feels dialed in. If you’re looking for a barbershop with talented stylists and a great atmosphere, Floyd’s 99 is it. Already looking forward to my next visit with Cecily.

Glad there was a Floyd’s in the area. I decided to get a haircut before my gym meet tomorrow. The experience was great with the vibe of the barbershop, the friendliness of the staff, and the location itself not too far from the main downtown area. I got a regular Floyd’s cut and it looked great and cute for my liking. Overall, Floyd’s does the job and I always recommend Floyd’s as my go-to for getting a haircut!

Needed a fresh cut for the first day of Kindergarten. I had driven by this place quite a few times and knew I wanted to take my little. Staff is welcoming and knowledgeable and it’s kiddo friendly and approved! We will be back! UPDATE! We returned for our third visit today and Katherine was great! She asked if she could put product in his hair when she was done and he loved it! We continue to recommend this place to everyone we know! UPDATE!! We just celebrated our TWO year anniversary of visiting this shop for our oldest haircuts. We still love Katherine, she is just amazing with kids. Our youngest, who hates haircuts, actually lets Katherine cut his hair and he does so well! I can’t say enough good things about Floyd’s 99 of the North Loop!

Great new location (opened Sep 2019) for downtown! Pleasant staff and unique vibe. Floyd's always seems to be busy so reservations are a must -- it can be tough to walk in. I've enjoyed the consistent quality of haircut at this Floyd's location
