Excellent barber service. Joel was able to read my introverted personality and didn’t try to push conversation. Quick and professional. I’ll definitely be returning. The walk-in only policy is very nice for anyone who feels like it’s hard to get a haircut in. I walked in about 2 and was 3rd in line, walked out about 2:30. Would highly recommend for anyone who prefers short waits and a skilled hand.

I’ve known the Barber Joel since 2018 at his last location. Joel is funny and down to earth. Really great to talk to him while getting a hair cut

It took me 61 years to find the best barber in the US. Thanks Joel for keeping it simple and old school.. Wish I would have been there for the little boy’s haircut. I usually carry wood lath in my truck !! Keep up the great work ! I appreciate it. Ray

This a great place to get your haircut. I get my hair cut there every 3-4 weeks. After the first two cuts, Joel knew exactly how I wanted it styled for future visits. My youngest son also enjoys coming here. Family and kid friendly. Keep up the good work.

Not a child-friendly salon. The last experience was disappointing, though I'll give two-stars (a bump up from one star), as Joel does a decent job at low cost. I brought my kid to get a haircut, it wasn't a welcoming experience. We waited along with the other patrons. When my child was up, he barely had a chance to sit & get comfortable before we were told he was too squirmy & it was an inconvenience to others waiting. I was told this was the prime time, the time Joel is busiest, & the time he makes money. It was recommended we come back at the end of day, when it's more convenient for the stylist. To me, this felt like our time spent waiting is less valuable than the time of the stylist & other customers. This salon is basically walk-ins only. I have called ahead in the past, only to be placed in the waiting rotation. We'll go elsewhere, somewhere that takes reservations & will be respectful of our time. I would gladly pay 4x what Joel charges, for better service.
Owner's response
Mr. Quarford ,<br>I appreciate the feedback!...<br>I am truly sorry for your poor experience at the "Farmington barber/ Mancave salon"<br>As you know, <br>I am just a "one man operation" at this time.<br>Now on occasion <br>i do have a second stylist to help me on my busy Saturdays, ( which is greatly appreciated!! ; )<br>But unfortunately that person was not able to make it in that day.<br> Saturday mornings are usually the craziest time of the week.<br>....So there was a tiny bit of pressure to try to keep up with the walk-in demand.<br>Which is "totally not your problem".<br> And again,... I am sorry. <br>But I made a decision that I believed was for the greater good of all involved at the shop that morning.<br>Some of whom, may only be able to "see" me on Saturdays due to conflicting work schedules. <br> I do not mind working on children, who have "experience" recieving haircuts.<br>Even a figittee child on a weekday. <br>But a preschooler who falls to the ground in panic mode, at the mere idea of getting in the chair, and then has to be restrained on the parents lap, would be a poor sound and sight experience for all in attendance. <br>I'm not sure if they have blunt tip shears at kids cuts?<br>But I don't. <br>It is also a safety issue.<br>Although,<br>It did seem as if your son had enjoyed playing the free multicade video game system the whole time of his wait, &<br>You were both offered "free doughnuts". <br>I even offered to stay after closing time if you wanted to come back, so he could have my undivided attention, but you didn't seem interested in that offer.<br>Sorry I won't be retaining your business. <br>*Best of luck*<br> JOEL
