The haircuts are usually pretty good. (Everyone has an off day once in a while) however, there is a problem with who gets service first! If you leave to go get coffee and expect to retain a place in line, there’s something wrong with that… I’ve been a customer for over 15 years. Due to The Who gets service first first issue, I will not be back.

My husband wanted to try a new place and he remembered going as a child here. We went back and he got a haircut and beard trim. It looks amazing on him! Great conversations and definitely will be back!

We stopped in this morning randomly to see if they had an opening to get a quick back to school haircut, and I have to say, I am impressed! Cowboy Mel's has been a household name for many people near Anoka, including my own growing up, and it is just as good as it was back then. Not only a wonderful haircut at an affordable price, but the history of the shop is still there too. We enjoyed stepping back in time when we walked in, and enjoyed walking out knowing we got a great haircut at a great price. Thanks again Mark, you did wonderful! *A sidenote, they do not accept cards, so bring cash.... and don't forget to bring enough to tip your barber too. A simple, historic barbershop with lots of character and wonderful barbers! Would I go back? Absolutely, and we plan to!

The 1st time I met Mark and Jason - the Barber's , was 💯 % So proud I had found a Real Truly Caring Barbershop - Mark and Jason, totally make you feel like their only Client!! You totally won't regret ever coming to their Barber Shop!! They are AMAZING 💯 % Yes I highly recommend coming to Mel's Barber Shop in Anoka, MN. So if you want the very best Haircut - it's a MUST !!

I'm a first time customer. Justin was okay, and got a decent cut, but was way shorter than I expected. If you want just a basic haircut and not something super stylish with a lot of texture etc., Cowboy Mel's Barber Shop will do you good.

Been going here for a few years now and it hasn't disappointed me once. Mark and Justin know what they're doing and great guys to talk to. Also really loving the John Wayne memorabilia. If you ask me, this is one of the best places in Anoka.

This isn't a salon. This is a barbershop. I got a fantastic cut from Mark. I'm not much for small talk but he kept it real. I appreciate these local businesses and will be back. I also met the other barber Justin. I believe was his name. Very good people. I will be back because I not only got a great cut but I support local business. Thanks guys.

Awesome service as always and great conversation. Mark gave me a good, short cut that was new for me and even my daughter likes the new cropped look. Update-don't trust their open hours as posted on Google.. They are still open Tuesday through Friday, and half a day Saturdays. Definitely closed on Sunday and Monday like any real barbershop 😉
