Perhaps leave a note on your business door and let your customers know you retired instead of leaving your business sign up on the building. You OWE that to your years and years of loyal customers, instead of leaving them in the dark.

I love going to see Rod, he is a great guy and means well, but I apparently gave him to much freedom with my hair and he messed me up bad. No hard feelings, it was my bad.

Thank you for a great haircut! Rod is a talented barber who pays attention to detail. Things like shaving cream and a straight razor to clean up edges followed by a warm rag. It's a laid back place and he's a beast on the mandolin! I'll definitely be going again.

When I first arrived in Ypsi, it was a bit challenging to locate a reasonably priced barber, so I resorted to trimming my own hair until I stumbled upon Rob. I faithfully visited him for 5 wonderful years, until I decided to rock the Mr. Clean style to impress the ladies. Despite being an older white gentleman, he has serious skills when it comes to giving a sharp Taper/Bald fade to a brotha. This talented guy used to jam on the guitar and harmonica, belting out tunes with his band while flawlessly delivering the coolest taper cuts in town.

I have been to Rod's a few times and have always been happy with the cut. I went to another barber because he was closed and what a mistake! I got a bowl cut. I went to Rod the next day and he was able to fix it perfectly. I am a 63 year old woman who wears a super short Pixie. Rod wasn't even going to charge me. What a great guy. I highly recommend him.

Rods been here ever since I was a small kid and would drive by his small shop. When we moved back to the area I suggested his shop to my husband to go get his hair done and try rods. He hasn’t gone anywhere else. He’s very particular with his hair but so was my dad. Rod does it right. Happy customers keep comin back.

I have been going to Rod for several months and I keep coming back because he one of the hidden gems in Ypsilanti. While I've gone to a couple barbers in the area and they were all good in their own respect but Rod knows how to cut hair and does it quickly. I love walking in and seeing him playing guitar and playing great music during your haircut. Also the price is absolutely great! Can't beat that with a quality haircut! 10/10

Rod has been cutting hair for 40+ years, mine for almost 30, great guy, cool little barber shop, he can do short to long, male or female and any ethnic group, it's not just a haircut it's an experience of great personal service that's long gone in most shops. He only charges 10 bucks but you'll wanna give him an extra $5-$10 when you see the results!
