Mack delivers excellent quality haircuts and precision line ups. Mack is excellent with the razor and has hot towels for top quality shaves. Outstanding service and a fantastic barber.

I've been going to this shop since they opened and will most likely be going here for years to come. All the barbers here will give you a great cut, guaranteed.

My son and I have been frequent customers of Kurt the barber at Nappy or Knot (34758 Warren Road, 1535 S Wayne Rd, Westland, MI 48186) for about 2 years or more. We have never canceled or been a no-show customers. If we were late (no more than 10 which was very rare, I always extended the courtesy via text to let him know. The same can be said about Curt's tardiness. Our haircuts have steadily increased from $50 to $70 (without tip). This is normal with economics. I have always tipped between $5 - $15 per haircut, especially more generous during holidays and/or when an outstanding haircut transformation occurs. The last time we received haircuts was December 17, 2024. Today, as normal, I requested an appointment via the app. The first appointment was declined with no reason. The second appointment was declined with no reason. This is unusual because Curt would state a resson (availability, etc.. ) and to reschedule. I tried to contact on the messenger app, but message was disabled. I noticed that all the time frames were disabled. I contacted via text messages; however, no response. I do not know if he is no longer employed at Nappy or Not or the circumstances. In past times, he would send notifications about his vacation, availability, etc...Regardless of the circumstance, this is absolutely unprofessional and I do not recommend him. We have been loyal customers, this sudden lack of communication is frustrating. While there could be various reasons for Curt’s unresponsiveness—such as leaving the shop, personal issues, or a business decision—it's definitely unprofessional to leave regular clients in the dark without any notice. My time and loyalty are disrespected. My money will be spent with another barber.

My husband HATES, HATES, HATES waiting on people and he's had to wait on his barber A LOT for the short amount of time he's been going to him. Barber was an hour late today. He's stayed this long, because he can cut some hair, but my husband's time is valuable, because of our home situation, and it's just not respected. This is his 5th barber, 6th shop in the last several months. At this rate, he may be on the search again. Shops just aren't like they were when we grew up in the 80s and 90s. So sad. Lots of money could be made if these barbers and shops would remove the ghetto atmosphere and go back to the old school style of courtesy good conversations. No weed smells, loud music...etc. Just a chill atmosphere with lots of great conversions. Value others time. Barbers don't even say hello when you enter shops anymore, SO VERY RUDE. 🤯😵💫🤦🏾♀️ My review, not my husband's. He would just give 1 star and say nothing.🤷🏽♀️

Mac Da Barber's skills are impeccable. He makes sure all haircuts, mustaches, and beard trims are top quality. The razor lines are executed with fine precision. I'm always complimented when leaving his chair. The shop has a very welcoming atmosphere and my Dad enjoys Nappy or Knot Barbershop also. The top Barbers are located at this establishment. 10 star product and service.

They usually do a phenomenal job on my son but this time they gave me a new guy because I just walk in and he showed no effort , didn’t give me any change out of 40 and let my son walk away with Hair like this . Didn’t put any water in or cut it evenly what so ever . Very disappointed and now I won’t be back and I pay 50 for a 15$ cut usually. Big dude with thin dreads and a hat has absolutely no place in a barber shop

Service was ok. However, businesses should always have a working phone. Most importantly, I’m not sure why barbers tell customers they can compete certain haircuts even when you show them pictures and ask them specifically if they can do it and they do the opposite. They need to do better.

My bonus dad comes here often. It’s been awhile. Atmosphere was a typical barbershop. I did feel safe. Mack did a good job on my bonus dad hair and beard.

I went there as a walk in and I was cut in less than an hour. It's a nice looking shop with enough chairs for about 50 people and flat screens to busy your time while you wait. I went in for an undercut (since some places won't do them) and they really did a good job. The prices are pretty reasonable, considering you want a good cut. The social aspect of the shop is lively, and full of gossip, but it's a barbershop people! It's my go to shop now.
