I arrived at 7am for a haircut. Brian is a very friendly guy and an outstanding barber. This was a great experience. Grimes in my new spot and I'll be recommending to all my friends and customers.

I got a worst haircut by a woman named Anna. I wanted short on sides, no cut on top. She cut one side short all the way to the top of my head. It looked worst on the back too. What a waste.

Cash only, so be prepared. Old school barbershop that give a good haircut without the frills.

The guys here does decent haircuts at reasonable prices ……. Can’t say the same for the ladies working here though. BLUFF wait for one of the gentlemen and don’t let your kids get in the chair of any of the ladies.

I took my kid here for one it’s cash only for 2 it was by far the worst hair cut I’ve ever seen. Had to stop at great clips on the ride home for them to try and fix it. The place was hot, it smelled of old, and it was so quiet it was uncomfortable. I shouldn’t have let them touch my kids head. I’m totally disgusted and my son cried when we left. Just total bad experience. Go anywhere else.

I had vented to my co-workers about the rising costs of haircuts at Cost Cutters. One co-worker suggested Grimes as her husband is a regular patron. My first visit (5/3/25) was outstanding! Tim was kind enough to provide me a "high and tight" fade with the number 1 guard, and was patient with me when I had asked him to go a little bit higher with the one. What I was most "excited" about was how he made the top look--I normally tell the stylist to "cut as much as they can" on top following the number 1 on the sides and back. Tim did something where he left it a little longer than I usually get, and I absolutely love it! $14 for the service I received significantly beats Cost Cutters and I think Tim may have received in me a new patron for life! Thank you Tim.

Simple and straightforward service. Tim is great. I’ve been playing with several different styles over the last year and they are happy to accommodate. Very old school.

I've been looking for an inexpensive place to bring my son for his haircuts, but the places I've been to charges more for an okay cut. This place was quick, has an old-town feel, clean, and most importantly the workers were friendly. The gentleman who cut my son's hair did a good job, too. I'd come back again for sure.

Great place to go for a very economical haircut. It was quick, and there weren't many people ahead of me (1300 on a Monday). My wife will be thrilled that my eyebrows were trimmed. If I need a haircut and I'm in Detroit, I'll definitely return. The only caveat- cash only. I somehow had cash in my wallet, so I was good to go.

Stopped by in route for a quick trim. Place was nice and clean. It's an old folks barber shop. I'm devastatingly handsome so I go where ever for a cut. Lady was working for 20 minutes on the back of my head. I asked if everything was ok. She said it was. After another 10 min of back of the head trimming; i asked her to finish up, i had to go. She lost her mind! She whipped out her straight razor and tore my neck up. Like i had to dodge that and be like "That's skin on my neck, lady!" So i got half a haircut, almost got my throat slit and she got a dollar tip. It seems like this could be a good place but avoid the older lady with longer brown and blonde hair. OMG! I asked for a high and tight with a soft fade. Geeze.
