After years of taking my son to several hair cut places in the area we decided to try out Oskars. My son is 11 and is getting particular in his cuts and fades. He had Billy fix him up and we are all more than impressed. The fade and the blending is by far nicer than I have seen from anywhere else. Highly recommend!

I have known all these barbers for a long time. I’ve been getting my haircut here for a long time. Adrian has cut my hair. Billy has cut my hair. Danny has cut my Hair Andros has cut my hair and Oskar has cut my hair not only as a friendly work environment but as family these barbers have become my brothers overtime no better Lineup no better Fades at this place, they also specialize in tapers bur fades hard parts, special designs. This is an up-and-coming shop that has only been open for a few years and it’s on its way to the top. The reviews in the stars speak for itself. Rising stars at Oskar’s barbershop! And the way they treat my kids Treat everybody like family Is amazing God bless them

Had a minor issue during my first visit, but when I came back, the staff handled the situation with total professionalism. The team was very respectful and really listened to my feedback. Huge shoutout to Andraos for the fix up, he made my cut look incredibly sharp and absolutely killed it on the fade. It’s rare to find a shop that takes this much accountability and truly values their clients. Even after a while after the cut, it still feels like it was just done. I’ll definitely be back!

I’ve been coming to this barbershop for about a year now, and they always do a great job. The barbers are skilled, friendly, and really take their time to understand what you want. Every visit has been a good experience, and I always leave satisfied with my haircut. I especially recommend this place for Indians they understand our hair type really well and know how to style it properly. The shop is clean, welcoming, and professional. Easily one of the best barbershops I’ve been to. Highly recommended!

My experience at Oskar’s Barber Shop, Utica was deeply uncomfortable and honestly humiliating. The way Indian customers are treated here is noticeably different and unacceptable. From the moment I walked in, the attitude was cold, dismissive, and borderline hostile — no basic courtesy, no professionalism, no respect. The service felt rushed and careless, like we were an inconvenience rather than paying customers. Despite the poor quality, the pricing felt inflated for what was done, but the worst part wasn’t even the haircut — it was the way we were treated. You don’t need words to feel discrimination; body language, tone, and behavior say enough. Watching how other customers were spoken to versus how we were treated made the difference painfully obvious. I left without saying anything because the environment itself made me feel unwelcome and disrespected. No business deserves support if it treats people differently based on who they are. I strongly urge Indian customers and international students to stay away and spend your money at places that value all customers equally. This shop seriously needs to reflect on its behavior and professionalism.

This shop is absolutely beautiful and has such a peaceful atmosphere. It was my sons’ and my first visit, and we stopped in for last minute haircuts for my son’s birthday. Finding a barber on short notice, especially one who can execute a specific style, can be challenging, but we were welcomed immediately. Two barbers worked with each of my boys, and both haircuts were done exceptionally well. (Thanks you #7 for taking your time) One of the barbers even offered me water (#4), which I genuinely appreciated. The hospitality was outstanding. ❤️☺️ I’m truly impressed. Oskar, you have an excellent team. Everyone was prepared, professional, and attentive. We will certainly be returning.

I got lots to say but when I was there I didn’t say too much except when asked is everything ok miss I replied “no” bc if I would have said anything it would not not have been nice and would have definitely caused more of a scene then I already had. My son is 7 this was his first barbershop experience and I’m so disappointed to say it was the worst! I had a child doing my child’s hair first of all! I asked for a fade and he said you don’t want a high fade do you I said no no!!! At first I don’t think we understood each other so I will give him that but after the initial cut I noticed his entire hair was gone on the bottom. Now I KNOW I said I didn’t want it that short and to keep some hair at the bottom I NEVER said to start with a 0!!!!!! He was basically bald on his neck!!!! I know I specifically did not say to do that. So now it could be a MILLION and one different reasons why this happened. Maybe the music is too loud like we’re in a club, maybe he’s too young and stubborn like my 19 year old, barber was18!! I know my kid does whatever the hell he wants and also vapes wherever the hell he wants too! Oh and also smokes DOPE TOO! Every single person in there looked high and like a zombie especially my 18 year old barber! So I guess that should be a million and ONE reasons. The more classy thing to do would have been don’t worry about paying bc EVERYONE saw how upset I was! But that’s ok we all know where the 5 stars comes from! Professionalism starts at the top. I have read your answers back to your bad reviews, instead of being confrontational just take responsibility and make adjustments where you believe you need to. Don’t argue with them on here. I guess we all need some more growing up to do all around at this barbershop! Good luck! I don’t need a response nor do I want anything from you! Nothing you can do to make it right. What’s done is done thank you for nothing! Hope that 25$ was really needed, looked like y'all needed it bad with your nice sports cars big bills huh?! Have a blessed day! Kind of interesting how I’m not the only one that this has happened too! Suggest not putting your children on kids cuts they don’t listen either!

Loved Oskars! First time for my boys going to a barber and couldn’t be more happy… they really took their time to do a good job and make sure we were satisfied with their hair! They knew what was ‘in style’ and were able to do the requests from my kids!
