Do not go to the 3rd chair he don't listen to what you want and have you upset I asked for a trim and a edge and the barber over there mhm.mhm the entire tire cutting all my length off and I left because I'm clearly upset so I called to talk to the owner and he hangs up in my face no hello or nothing. Just, owner line 1. Owner picks up and hangs up? Just man totally not satisfied.

Dexter Barbershop is a great place to get your haircut. Extremely friendly and welcoming. Barbers are extremely skilled and you will be pleased with your experience.

Professional, courteous, old school; the owner wears shirt, tie, cuff links and white barber coat!! How awesome is that!!👌🏽. I got a great hair cut! Great price, great service. This place is best kept secret in town!!

First visit since covid19 hit Detroit. Thomas my barber took my temp when I entered and I felt very safe. Social distancing in effect and A1 service as usual.

Most Assuredly a place one should experience. It's a Most engaging experience, but be prepared to wait on some days as they do not take appointments. It's most Assuredly a place where one can bring their family if desired. The Owner is a wonderful Man and Proprietor with a warm spirit. He Truly Enjoys cutting hair and does a Admirable Job with the straight razor. Give them a try and a shout out. There is also a small lot off the street if both sides of the streets are packed. They are open Five Days a week only close on Tuesday and Sundays. Once you have earned his business he will stay a little late to address His Loyal Customers. Until... F.R.III

I have been going to Dexter Barbershop since I moved to Detroit in 1987. Thomas, the owner is a awesome businessman, very humble and the absolute best barber. Prices are very reasonable and the cut is always on point. Even after I moved from the city I would still drive 1-2.5 hours away to come get freshened up at Dexter Barbershop. Over 50+ years of serving customers in the city of Detroit. When you arrive bring your laughing shoes because Reg, John and some regular customers keep the atmosphere filled with laughter.
