I am a 21 year old white guy with type 2C curls. It took me years to get my hair to a length that I was comfortable with, and I asked the barber here to cut some layers into my hair and take it up a little bit. Instead, my hair is now thinner and shorter than it's been in 7 years. They gave me what is basically a crew cut and charged me $35. Wouldn't reccommend this place. Waste of money

Today I had an excellent experience with Justin! He did a very good job. I will definitely continue to go to this place. The atmosphere is pleasant, there is parking nearby and they accept payment by card.

A convenient midtown barber. But I was disappointed in my beard cut and line up. The razor edge was not very sharp at all. And my beard was actually lopsided and not even. I admit fault since I was in a rush for a gala. But I was really disappointed when I got home and saw the close up in the mirror. I wanted to even out my beard and strays but it wasn't properly done. I had to try and edge myself up at home as then I touched my face you can still feel the stubbles. Not to mention i had to take scissors and tame the long stray hairs that were still there in my beard. $42 wasted. I was about to go to another barbershop to fix it but there wasn't any time. If you do go here double check the work. Make sure they give you a mirror in your hand so you can see the length, angle, etc.

Just moved in from a different region. I signed up here because of the reviews and was randomly placed with Justin. This was easily the most precise and thorough haircut I have had in well over a decade. This is the first time I have met this man, and he nailed it. He checked it from many different angles, constantly adjusting and dialing it in. Just trimming the sides.... he spent a lot of time on that, I have zero clean up to do. He clearly has very high and respectable standards. No notes, great work.

(Update 10/10: Thank you Dapper House management for following up.) I was very disappointed with my haircut. I didn’t realize how uneven it was until I got home. During the appointment, the barber kept me facing away from the mirror the entire time. I had asked for a fade, but they used only one clipper setting rather than gradually changing the guard lengths to create an actual fade. The result was an uneven cut, as shown in the photo. Their technique also seemed disorganized. The clipper movements were quick and erratic, with no consistent pattern, and when cutting the top, they moved in every direction instead of making deliberate, even passes. The shop’s description online, “Upscale, old-school barber shop”, suggested a much higher level of skill and attention to detail than what I experienced. Based on this visit, I would not recommend this location.

Great atmosphere , everybody is so professional. Justin is my new favorite Barber. I will be seeing him again. I’ve gotten so many compliments since Justin cut my hair.

Justin has cut my hair now a few times. His attention to detail and cutting my hair has been appreciated. I’m pretty anal about who cuts my hair and he’s been more than up to par these past few months. Go see him or any of the other stylists there. You’ll be happy you did.

I got a haircut today by a guy name Justin, I showed him a picture of me of a haircut before. And also a haircut of a haircut from on line . I explained I need it longer on top and to cut two inches off cause I wanted to do some color, he cut my my hair way too short on top. And he was so lost that he called a co worker or a manager for help. It is not about the hair cut my hair will grow but I try to give him an advice about how to work with clippers and he said yes you can’t give me a advice, I don’t know it i will listen… I need a haircut badly. But what I hate that he didn’t listen to me at all and I showed him a picture of me. And I got completely the opposite of what I asked. Cp
