Terrible!!!! I came to this barbershop hoping for a simple, clean taper and shape-up while keeping my beard long. Instead, I had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a shop. First, I was passed around from one barber to another with no clear communication. When someone finally started cutting my hair, I clearly explained that I wanted a taper and a shape-up and that I wanted to keep my beard long. He agreed. By the end of the haircut, my beard was basically gone. I honestly thought he was just lining it up, but after the first swipe, I immediately asked him what he was doing. That’s when he said he was going to “try to fix it.” But it was already too late. He had cut one side down so much that he had no choice but to take the other side all the way down to match. The damage was done. It felt like they didn’t care about what I actually asked for. It seemed more about getting paid than listening to the client. A beard takes time to grow, and in a few careless minutes, it was gone. I will never come back.

An absolute pathetic place for a haircut. These people have no regards to professionalism. Just there for money. Avoid at all cost.

Long standing community barbershop. Most of the barbers are West African descent or of another country. I love that cultural difference. The shop it self though isn't very unique though. The ambient feels like you're just a number. I believe if they focus on ambience, branding, and creating an experience they can get more business . Most of the chair has a barber. But the few times I've been in here new barbers don't stay long. Location, it's in a shopping center with plenty of parking.

Walked in, no greeting. 4 barbers just eating and talking, after ten minutes of awkward staring I left. Then had the nerve to chase me as I was walking to my car… make it make sense.

I have been coming to this shop and going to Alex for my haircuts for over half a year now. Alex is very consistent, great with conversation and values time. He is always making sure he perfects the haircuts he gives.

I've lived in Lanham for 11 years and I had never visited this barbershop. I went for the first time back in January of this year a few days before I got married. The guy that trimmed and shaped my beard did a fantastic job. I was really impressed and thought the good work he did was well worth the price just before one's wedding. Since that was a great experience, I decided to try going there this past weekend on May 4, 2024. I saw on their door, opening hour started at 9am, but people were already in there just after 7am. Not many. Only one barber in the entire shop, one customer in his chair, a lady and some kids, and another guy that stepped out of the shop to use his phone. I came in, sat down, and the lone barber asked me could he help me. I told him I'd like a beard trim and shape up. This rinky-dink dude had the audacity to tell me, with no customers in the shop, that he had other customers ahead of me, and to come back later. I'm like, yeah right. Do you really think I'm coming back later? With no customers in sight? You'll never see me again after that experience. Whomever he is, his chair is the very first you see on the right, once you walk into their shop. I'll just say this. No business is that special when it thinks it has earned the right to pick and choose the customers it wants to serve. If that's their way of thinking, they're destined for eminent failure as a business. Later for you, Fresh Cut Barber and Beauty Salon!

I struggled with this review but just as a forewarning to my ladies. I had a disappointing experience at the salon yesterday. I went in for a simple trim, asking for just a bit off the sides and back to tidy up my previously colored and cut hair before my vacation. Unfortunately, what I received was a skin fade that exposed my roots (which are black, while my hair was dyed a brownish ginger), along with my edges being cut when I didn't want them touched. It's frustrating because I absolutely hate the cut and I wish I had been clearer in my instructions. Now I have to go on vacation with a cut I’m just not happy with. I'll definitely recommend showing a picture to avoid any misunderstandings. The price was also a little higher than what’s listed on the google images I paid $25 which still isn’t bad. But for what I actually wanted definitely could’ve been cheaper.

First time visiting this place and I got top notch service. Loved my haircut. Hassan and his crew are doing a phenomenal job. Would 10/10 recommend this place.

Not our first time at this barbershop. Our regulars were gone for the day. My son went in to get his mohawk cleaned up - top trimmed with sides and back faded. When my son got home, he was in tears.. worried that his classmates would make fun of him because of his haircut. The barber did not evenly fade the sides nor did he evenly trim the top of my son’s hair; and he messed up the back! He also cut it to the extent that it looked like a cone head…changing the entire shape of his mohawk. As if this wasn’t bad enough.. he sent a message with my son saying, “I like your hair better this way!”. We had to take my son back to the shop early this morning to get it fixed…so he could go to school not looking like a cone head clown!! Thanks to Andrew for saving the day!!! To Ray, you know what you did was wrong. You took our money for a service you could not provide… And sending that message with my son.. was clear to me...that you did what you wanted to do and not what we requested! Thanks to you Ray.. we lost time (going to the barber twice) and money (paying you and paying someone to clean up your mess). Your barbering skills are archaic and lacking. And it’s okay to say no if you don’t know how!! Overall experience at this shop has been good (prior to this)…there are good barbers here, clean and courteous. Would recommend. 4 out of 5. However, I am leaving this here so others can decide if the risk of sitting in Ray's chair is worth it!
