Purchased brush and came back 2 mins later to exchange because brush was too hard and said I can't exchange it because opened, how would I know how hard brush was without opening it. A joke.

I love shopping at 5th Ave Beauty Store. They always have everything I need from hair supplies to beauty products. The employees are super friendly and helpful every time I go. If you treat them with kindness, they’ll treat you the same. While I was in line, I saw a customer being really rude to one of the employees. The cashier stood up for herself which I respect and the customer started yelling and saying “the customer is always right.” But honestly, that’s not how we should act. As customers, we need to be respectful too. These employees are here to help us, and if you need something, just ask nicely.

I came to purchase a piece of jewelry a nose ring to be exact for my daughter got home and it wasn’t in the bag. However called the store spoke to the manager and explained the situation and she said I looked at the camera and she put it in your bag again it’s only 4.99 to the point that I told you that it wasn’t there and she went back and forth with until I said I’ll just leave a review and hung up I’m not tripping off of 5 dollars it’s the principal yall stole and that’s messed up I never went into the bag until I got home smdh I will never do business with them again

If your BLACK BEWARE , I had an encounter with a sales associate an Asian one at that because they are diverse but this encounter with this Asian woman was completely unexpected and unnecessary , I was making a purchase and as I license cosmetologist I asked for a specific product and she was completely rude when responding and stated that the reason I needed the product so bad was because I was BLACK and needed a weave because I was BALD and in reality the hair was for my client who suffers from alopecia so I was offended and asked for a manager and was told by her black coworker that there’s no store manager to make a complaint too the store was filled with black woman and her associates are black as well if anything stop supporting business like this

Great service and wide range of products and supplies. Most of the complaints about this store are the ones who got caught stealing or trying to pull one over on the staff. Witnessed 2 groups back to back trying to steal.

The poorest customer service. Zero accountability. Went there on a budget to purchase a reasonably priced Halloween Wig $25 or less for just a one time occasion. Because, it was my first time on a store like this, buying products with which I was unfamiliar, I specified to the sales lady what I was unexperienced and told her exactly what I was looking for. After trying on many wigs (24 inches and above) I noticed that length was one of the features used to determine price and decided to pick up a package, 12inch long hair, $21, and told the sales lady that that was my chosen wig. The package was small, but I attributed that to the difference in hair length, about half of what I had been trying on. When I got home and opened it, I came to the surprise that I had bought hair extensions, not a wig. Halloween costume ruined, and with no time to go back to the store, I called and spoke with the manager the next day, WHO HAPPENED TO BE THE SAME SALES LADY, and asked for a refund. Long, story short, she was very rude over the phone, and offered me a store credit, pointing out that if I was ignorant that was not her fault. No returns. I explained to her that I did not want a store credit as I did not need to purchase anything from them, and this had been a one time occasion just for halloween, but she was very apathetic. It is very sad to see people being very bad at their job and very impolite and inconsiderate with their customers. Please go somewhere else and spare yourself the ill taste that will be left in our mouth if you buy something from this store.

I went to this beauty supply store to purchase bobby pins. As I was looking for them, I noticed some shampoo and conditioner from a brand I wanted to try. I looked at the bottles and put them back. As I looked up, I noticed a Hispanic woman with really long hair staring at me. When she saw me look at her, she looked away and went back behind the register. I went to another isle and then went back to the same isle I was in before. She left the front counter and tried to come back to the isle I was in again. She again was staring at me as though I was some common thief. I don't understand the purpose of CCTV cameras if you're going to follow people around the store. I don't patronize companies who do things like that. Her actions in my opinion were racist and extreme. I won't be back.

While paying, gave lady $50 and she denied getting the money. Her colleague came and confirmed that I did not give her the money. Whole store watching while I looked like a LIAR! Supervisor checked the CCTV camera and confirmed that I infact gave $50 for payment. Had to ask for apology as none was given. If you choose to shop there make sure you check your cash. As for me I will never go back!!!!
