I am 68 years old, and I love the atmosphere and really enjoy the kind and friendly treatment I receive from the staff. Professional and personal interaction. Made to feel really comfortable and enjoy the services. Best hair care I’ve ever had. 👌

My experience with Floyd’s 99 was absolutely stellar. I’ve lived in the area for a little over a year and since moving here I’ve been shy about anyone cutting my hair, being so particular I haven’t gotten my hair cut in over a year. I landed in the chair of Tricia who absolutely knocked the haircut out of the park. I knew the moment I spoke to her that she would do right by my hair and my peculiar style. I will absolutely be returning in the future, although I enjoyed my time with Tricia; I know I’d have been in great hands no matter whose chair I landed in.

I always go to Floyd’s because the service and attention to detail is consistent. After my last cut, I’ll never go back. The service, quality, and attention to detail is gone. The “top talent” had me in and out in 15 minutes. They had my chair turned away from the mirror the entire time, and didn’t do what I had asked. They butchered my hair and rushed me out. Didn’t offer to fix anything, didn’t provide any of the customary services offered by Floyd’s, didn’t offer anything else. It felt like I was getting a haircut from someone who hated me. I paid $50 for a haircut that looked like it was done by Stevie Wonder. I’m going to a real barber shop from now on, not a glorified great clips. You lost a loyal customer.

I mean this in the most constructive and least rude way possible, but I asked for a mid skin fade and about an inch and a half off the top. After about an hour and 15 minutes I got maybe a half inch cut off, and the skin fade was very lopsided and blended in on different parts of my head on the sides. The blends were more of a hard line rather than a fade. After the third time of having the mirror handed to me, Melissa ended up taking over and doing the best she could to salvage what was left which I do appreciate. In total I was there for almost 2 hours. After my haircut being salvaged, I was still charged the $40. If it was waived or at least gotten a future haircut for free that would have been nice, but having a free haircut was honestly the least of my concerns. I give it a 2 star because Melissa sacrificed her time to try to help. I do not recommend scheduling with Flip, at least until he’s had some more cutting time and gets back in the groove.

I just wanted to take the time and personally shout out and thank Ros! I’ve been getting my hair cut by the same person for almost 10 years plus because I had some real bad experiences in the past which lead to some trust issues. Unfortunately I moved away from my regular barber and my hair got to the point my wife wanted it gone. So I just choose a random one giving up all my hair expectation. Man! How lucky I got. Ros was awesome professional, kind and welcoming. She took care of me from the beginning all the way towards the end with the massage on the shoulders! I usually wait a couple days to see how my hair settles in but man am I loving this hair cut by Ros. You are the best and are amazing, anyone should look into getting a hair cut with her. Thank you again for such an amazing experience I get to carry with me for the next year, or until my next hair cut lol Ros is a boss!

This review is a few weeks late but I wanted my regular hairdresser to see the extent of the damage. After looking at the reviews for the ones close to me.I chose this one and I regret it. I booked a same day appointment a few hours prior. Came in and noticed that they were a little busy, but I didn't mind waiting a little bit. Im not sure if I was the last appt for the stylist, but everything felt rushed. My biggest issue with the service was that the stylist cut my DRY hair with a razor. Not only was this painful, but it is completely out of the norm and can cause damage to your hair. I was so shocked in the moment that I didnt say anything. I can now see the split ends/damage from this action (I use no heat on my hair, mask weekly, and haven't dyed my hair). Sorely disappointed as I've had decent experiences at other floyds in MD in the past. After this, I'm willing to wait for my stylist at a completely different salon rather than deal with this.

My experience was great! The service was amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The quality of the product was top-notch and exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend this place and CathyK. - Headliner to anyone looking for a positive and enjoyable experience. I will definitely be returning in the future.

I had a really bad experience here. I came in with long hair and asked for a shoulder-length long bob. The stylist didn’t show me the progress during the cut and said she’d show me afterward—by then, it was much shorter than what I asked for. I mentioned it was too short, but she didn’t acknowledge my concern, and the cut was already done. After washing my hair at home, I realized it was uneven and poorly executed. To make things worse, the stylist seemed distracted, as a family member had stopped by during my appointment. I actually went here after reading the good reviews, but my experience was far from it. I won’t be returning.

I came in with a bad hair cut, and I knew I wanted a noticeable change in length and color. Julie S. was amazing! She helped me figure out a cut that would be low maintenance, walked me through the process of achieving the color from my reference photo (having never dyed my hair before), and gave me an estimate--all before starting.
