This place used to be good, but all of the good barbers left because the entire shopping complex is going to be torn down for a new student apartment building. Avoid this place, because now they only have terrible barbers. One barber in particular has only been cutting hair for five years and he completely messed me up. I asked for a fade, but one side is completely darker than the other, and he shaved a bald patch in the back of my head. Now I’m looking for a new barber that can fix the mistake.

For all of my fellow young adult white guys out there that are just looking for a fast and relatively cheap place to get your generic haircut, this is the place to go. $25 for a trim and you'll be out in 15-20 minutes. *Note* This is not me saying that the staff isn't talented. But when I say that an expert barber's skills are wasted on people like me, you know what I mean.

The employee picked up the phone and told me to come in and he lied about being seen . I got there and the other employee in the front was not helpful and basically covered for his friend . I walked 10 Minutes and was told to come in . Worst barbershop in College Park . Avoid at all costs . Terrible

3 stars because I have gotten excellent service and horrible, been here about 8 times. Unless you are a regular expect to wait 1-2 hours unless you come in slow hours. Depending on the barber you can get the best cut you’ve ever had or something you didn’t even ask for but couldn’t notice until you get home and use your own mirror as others have said. I will not be going back unless I am in desperate need of a haircut.

They are talented barbers but really lack a sense of urgency when it comes to the customer's time. I just sat in there for about an hour with 5 other guys waiting and 2 of the three barbers just walked out for whatever reason. Also I've been cut in line before by someone who knows the barber so you'll run into that too. You coud try to make an appointment, just plan out 3 hours for a haircut, or head somewhere else.

I'm a transfer student at UMD and new to the area, so I've been looking for a reliable, skilled barber for a while now. I decided to try Main Event out and see how skilled their barbers are. I cannot emphasize how talented these barbers are. Charlie, the barber who cut my hair, paid attention to detail and gave me the best cut I've ever had in my life all for a very fair price. Go to Main Event, and you'll never turn back!

This place is always my go to. If you're a UMD student, it's even better for you. I usually go to Steve, but all of them are talented and very nice. They are completely skilled in cutting ANY type of hair and you won't be disappointed. Good prices, good people, good cuts.

Moved to the area a year ago and tried a few other places which don't hold a candle to Main Event. This place has a great atmosphere but more importantly it has great barbers like Leon and Twan. Everyone knows their craft and you won't be disappointed. They also have student pricing which other places nearby don't.

Worst haircut ever. They only seem to focus their barber skills to the clients they are familiar with. If you never been there take my advise. It's hot, their clippers are not adjusted properly. when they mess up they don't correct their mistakes, they will try to hold the mirror for you so you can't see it where they went wrong. All and all the worst. I wouldn't suggest them to my worst enemy.
