I've tried a few of the barbershops in downtown Bethesda but 8K Barbershop has been the best so far. I'm really pleased with the final cut and the hospitality shown by the staff. I generally go online to book an appointment, which is simple to use without creating an account or adding a method of payment.

Cynthia, thank you for the amazing haircut today at 8K Barber Shop. The fade is super clean, the blend is smooth, and the top is styled perfectly—exactly what I wanted. Can’t recommend this place enough. I stopped in off the street to get haircuts for my two boys while we were in town for a family event. There was no wait, but it was a frigid Friday afternoon. The kids got stylish cuts and the staff was wonderful.

Very low standards of barber skills in this shop. I came here for a cut and the result is uneven cuts that will be regretting till I grow enough to correct this. I would rather pay a little extra and go to others in the neighbor.

I came a month or so ago for just a haircut and the service is great as always except my usual stylist wasn’t there so I had the lady in the third chair cut my hair, I showed her reference pics of the exact cut I wanted which I had also gotten that cut done there too, but again my stylist wasn’t in today, but when I got my haircut it looked more like a bowl cut rather than what I wanted, now that its more grown out it looks pretty bad so I’ve learned to just make an appointment with my usual stylist. I still recommend going here as they are always so kind!

Usually really good, but yesterday I showed a picture of the cut I usually get but the lady did not follow what I showed her (mid fade) and instead gave me more of a high sort of military buzz on the side. Dissapointed and will make sure to make an appointment with the stylists I know. Update: Vivian cut it better next visit

Frankly, it was a disappointing experience. The woman in the third chair, in my opinion, doesn't seem confident in her skills. No matter what reference photo you provide, she cuts hair the same way each time and consistently leaves long hairs behind the ears. Perhaps a better attention to detail—or even glasses—might help. Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s worth returning.

I came here once, got an excellent cut, and will definitely return. Very clean, nice, professional and all of that, large waiting area. Vivian is an excellent barber. You can make an appointment if you like, though I just walked right in at a non-peak time (3pm). Check their website for updated prices ($27 for me in April 2025, CASH ONLY - others in Bethesda are $35-50 before tip so this is high quality for low price in the area). Parking is Bethesda style so street (immediately out front, very limited and shared with other stores such as Trader Joe's) or garage (multiple nearby, all needing a short walk, free on Sundays). Accessibility is great: everything on a single level and wide spaces to maneuver, once you get past the door.

This is truly one of the greatest barbershops in Bethesda. I’ve been coming for years and they really have taken care of me and my needs and I’ve always given me a great haircut. The staff is amazing and really looks out for you and tries to meet your needs. Definitely recommended!

Cuts: 10/10 Speed: 9/10 (can call for an appt) Price: 7/10 ($25) Parking: okay but there’s plenty of paid street parking nearby. Usually ~$2 on a weekday. I recently moved to Bethesda at the end of the summer and immediately looked for a good barber. My first day here, I decided to take a chance on 8K after reading so many great reviews. After visiting myself, I will keep going back for the rest of my time here! My first time here, I just went for whatever barber was feee first, which happened to be Luckee. I only waited for about 15 minutes before being seated. Luckee was fun to talk to but clearly knew what he was doing. There were also 4-5 other barbers who all seemed to have very happy customers. After my cut, I was extremely happy with results and decided I’d come back for sure. Since then, I have made an appointment with Luckee every time, just calling about an hour before. However, I quickly realized he can get a little busy so on my last visit I decided to sit at Thang’s chair. Thang was so quick. I probably was done within 20-25mins. He was nice but not super talkative. My only complaint is I couldn’t see what he was doing until it was over, but when he turned my chair around, I was more than happy. A simple low fade with a trim off my top. I will continue to come back here for all my cuts.
