I first visited Str8 Edge Barbershop after accidentally booking an appointment online with a completely different shop that happened to share the same name. When I walked into the Somerville location, Marky had no idea I was coming, but without hesitation he said “I got you” and had me in the chair within minutes. That moment alone showed the kind of welcoming and genuine service that sets this place apart. The haircut itself was phenomenal, and the atmosphere in the shop was just as impressive. Everyone inside was friendly, and Str8 Edge is a true neighborhood barbershop with deep roots in the local community. Marky has been running this place for years, and it shows in the trust, connection, and quality of work. If you are looking for a new spot for a haircut, I cannot recommend Str8 Edge enough.

I personally know Luis and when I found out he is a barber wanted to support his hustle. The guy understood what I wanted, haves great attention to detail and the time he puts in my haircut is unmatched, he also never rushes through haircuts and always made sure I was good along the way.

Best hair experience I’ve ever had! They take care of you & treat you right and the atmosphere is very comfortable, everybody is nice and friendly :) I had Hector and he was very awesome, very kind and enthusiastic to help me achieve my desired style! Did not mind that it was a bit of a high order/a lot of work & took a long time. Never been to a barbershop before but it was great all around.

We walked in without an appointment and got a haircut with not too long of a wait. Nate and Luis cut my two sons' hair and my hair with great style and professionalism!
